evan tanner looked weak and slow. okami looked bored. he is very technical, but evan tanner is no anderson silva. not even close. silva is much more powerful a striker than okami. it may be a good fight, but i doubt he will last as long as henderson did.

The 185 division is in real trouble. Silva is almost too good. The only competition in the division is for you gets to lose to him next. There have been some rumors in the UFC community about a non title, catch weight fight with Silva and St. Pierre. They would probably meet at about 180 or 175 and it would be the two most talented fighter in the world. But with it being a non title fight and more of an exhibition, I don’t know that it would ever happen.

A catch weight fight between St. Pierre and Silva would be tremendous. (A reminder of how much I miss Pride FC) It wouldn’t be too hard for Georges to make that weight anyway being that he probably walks around at 190 lbs.

Before watching fight: I wish for Okami to win.

After fight: Sweet knee. If OKAMI was american he would have hammer punched Tanner till the cows came home (Which wouldn’t have been long in Ohio). Good sportsmanship. That fucker that keeps on screaming USA sure feels like a complete asshole now, nice to see that ignorant MMA fans are being stooped at the gates!…lol

Okami could be a match for Silva. He is very technical, very careful, and extremely strong. He is a huge guy. Its amazing how big Silva is though, Henderson looks like he should be at 170

I agree, Silva would drop him even now, although Okami has gotten better since the first time the two fought. I love Okami’s methodical, unemotional approach. It takes away from the theatrics of UFC, which makes UFC look too much like WWE. In reality, the fighters of UFC respect each other, unlike the fake drama that unfolds on WWE. Watching them smack-talk each other takes away from the integrity of the fight, and Okami’s calm demeanor and methodical tactics help show that it’s a fight, not a play. My friend said that Tanner would win because Okami has no heart and no desire. I said in response that Tanner looked tired and scared. Clearly with good reason. Okami controlled that ring from the starting bell, and managed to look sexy while doing it.

just because Okami didn’t beat Franklin doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a chance to beat Silva. Just like Rashad Evans beat Chuck Lidell doesn’t mean he can beat Randy Couture. Just because Matt Serra beat GSP doesn’t mean he can beat Matt Hughes or even BJ Penn. u never know, Silva and Okami’s style can clash. And even though Silva is a complete god in the stand-up, Okami is a huge, strong Japanese dude, sometimes I wonder what they put in his rice as a kid. and the first fight can’t be counted on seein that Silva used an illegal kick (which he didn’t know it was illegal) to knock out Okami (who didn’t see it coming, cuz he assumed that upkicks were illegal). But the UFC will never give Okami the title shot anyways…..unless he goes on “the Ultimate Fighter 10: Just becuz my name isn’t Brock Lesnar doesn’t mean I don’t deserve a title shot”
