YouTube Videos Causing HTML5 Unresponsive Script Errors, Not Loading Properly Fix

This will help some people who have complained about some of the YouTube Videos locking up there browser and giving them Unresponsive Script Errors.


Currently some versions of Firefox are having issues with HTML5 video streams. If you are signed into a Google account/youtube in order to fix this problem go on the HTML5 page ( http://www.youtube.com/html5 ) at the bottom of the page, you will see “You are currently in the HTML5 trial.” and “Leave the HTML5 Trial”. Click on the second option and you will get rid of this error.

This may help other browsers also from the script message.

Okay I was not on the trial but thanks or showing this to people and helping them out.

My problem is my damn Adobe flash player always crashes after awhile…

Thanks for the tip, I had the problem with the scripts yesterday but today it seems fine.

Right click on the video and select “settings”, NOT “global settings”. A small window will open with a checkbox “enable hardware acceleration” checked. You need to uncheck that box.

Depending on how long it will take for the plugin to crash, you need to act quickly.

Hopefully it fixes your problem.

Also for adobe hangups you can hold ctrl/alt/delete and check to see if you have more than one plugin-cont running. Multiple instances can hang and max your CPU. You can end the extra instances but I can’t remember the cause or cure for the hang. Google remembers it.
