Company President and kickboxing legend Ray Sefo today announced WEC bantamweight champ and recently released UFC fighter Miguel Torres (40-5) will headline the first event at Nov. 3 at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The opponent for Torres will be named in the near future.
They officially announced that World Series Of Fighting will partner with NBC Sports Network (formerly Versus) to air the first event as part of a one-year deal. The plan is to hold somewhere between 8-10 events within their deal.
MMA legend Bas Rutten, veteran combat-sports broadcaster (The Voice) Michael Schiavello, and Olympic gold medalist/pro wrestler Kurt Angle have been selected for the broadcast team.
