Part 3 – IBF and WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko (52-3, 47 KOs) also tries for the Ring Magazine heavyweight title as he goes against Ruslan Chagaev (25-0-1) Saturday before 61,000 fans in Germany.

what i hate bout boxing is that its technicality is just to much. there is only a handful of boxers that i am looking forward to and it does not include the heavyweight division.

I agree, boxing is as boring a spectator sport as golf….. Well, slight exaggeration…. But its funny these assclowns on here talkin bout Klitscho is a chump and whatnot…. The guy is 52 and 3 with 47 ko’s. THAT’S 47 KO’S. How many did Tyson have? And what is up with this crowd in Germany? 60+ thousand peeps? The most MMA has drawn is 20 thousand…WTF? How can this sport draw this many people still?… Its unfathomable…. That fight in Germany between Wanderlei Silva and Rich Franklin was ten times the bout this was it drew a fraction of this crowd… Just Bizarre. They say boxing is dead… but the numbers don’t lie. MMA seems to draw more people on a regular basis but the big boxing matches (the few that there are) draw more people total…In ten years it may be the other way around…. Who knows?

I liked the fight, most of you guys who didn’t must understand that this is boxing. True boxing is a tactical match where you use your strength against your opponent’s weakness and Klitchko did just that he was patient and used his reach to weaken his opponent, that’s why it is called the sweet science. What you guys are probably looking for is 2 dudes swinging wildly at each with no defense. I’m sorry, that’s not boxing, that would be 2 unskilled lunatics. If you thought this was boring then it is not the sport for you.

It took me a while to get used to Klitschko’s style. He actually threw quite a few shots in this fight compared to his norm. He Usually throws a big straight right, backs up, winds up, and throws it again. Over and over until it finds it’s home and his opponent is on the floor. But the shot of Chagaev spitting out blood in between rounds then quitting, after the next says it all. Boring or not, dude is no joke.

ive been a boxing fan for 20 years so i think i know a little about the sport.you throw his great record out there but give me some of the names hes beaten.not impressive.his jab all fight style is because he has a glass jaw and we all know it.whenever a decent heavyweight finally pops up again klitschko will be done.

Just wanted to say thianks heaps for posting as i am a huge boxing fan in addition to a huge MMA fan. Klitcko is a fluent tactician, but lacks the killer instincts. This fight wasnt to bed, but some of his have been atrocious

The one time Klitschko fought a guy who was any good and the same size as him it was Lewis and Klitshco got his eye cut open so badly that the cornermen were sticking big chunks of some kind of white shit in there. For once Lewis couldn’t do what Klitschko just did to this guy so Lewis retired after that fight, which makes them both pansies

Dude, paddedummy, your thinking of his brother vitali, not wladimir, that fought Lewis. Wlad called out Lewis after his brothers fight, but Lewis was retired, and didn’t come back for the megafight.

They are both heads and tails better then any other heavyweight fighter currently out there. They make quality fighters look horiffic on a regular basis. Yes, the heavyweight division has a bunch of stiffs right now at the top, but thats not the Klitschko’s fault.

Wlad’s achilles heel is southpaw fighters. I don’t know how many he has beat nor has agreed to fight, but the one fighter he was exposed against was a southpaw in Corrie Sanders who ko’d him quickly and easily. Wlad never saw that straight left the whole fight (all round of it). His 2 other loses were both fatigue based after dominating his opposition.

But lets give credit where credit is due. The guy is a stud.

how was it fatigue based when he got knocked out by lamon brewster in the 4th or 5th round of thier fight?his other loss he quit on the stool in the 11th round and that was against a bum.
