In mma you have no groin or eye strikes etc., the stance/guard everyone uses makes it easy to eye poke/kick a guy in the junk and when that happens he doubles over and lays down EVERY TIME even though he is wearing a cup or the eye poke is accidental and without any real penetration and the fight would be over EVERY TIME unless the ref gives him a break to recover. In this americanized FMA you know what weapon(s) your opponent has, nobody is throwing blades/shuriken, no surprise attacks. If you know you are going to be fighting with weapons you don't duel, you put on as much armor as you can, you don't get your shin split open with a stick when they got soccer pads on sale at Walmart for $20 or to "simulate a real fight with weapons" and then ignore 20 stab wounds to the fencinf mask you are wearing so you can crapple on the ground for 20 minutes before "tapping out" the guy who already "killed you". I can't believe that old retard wearing the Viking helmet, Crafty Dog or wtv his name is, still has people wearing only fencing masks when getting hit with thick heavy sticks and even metal chains now! Every guy who bleeds in this video got cut by the inside of his own fencing mask, duh. Oh and let's have a butchy dyke fighting men! She is getting her ass kicked so if we make it her and a midget against one normal sized guy that will "be more fair" or be a "more realistic simulation", wtf!? When pople actuallly fought to the death unarmed or with weapons they didn't train this or mma for a reason, neither of these stupid games should call themselves martial arts because they are both just combat sports for entertainment purposes only

The thing that this and mma have in common is that they are both fake and useless for actual combat. I fight in Dog Brothers and am featured on the video.First let me put to rest one notion that seems to keep coming up. The knives are NOT plastic. They are dulled metal and fully capable of puncturing the body and causing damage. Also, Ive noticed a lot of people comment on how fighters still fight after getting stabbed. While its not shown in the video, we do stop fights when one is "dead". But that all subjective. A knife is a knife and we in most cases treat it as such.On a side note, at the gatherings, we start the day with a knife fight. Its meant to be an introduction. A warm up.We use fencing masks pretty much for no other reason than to keep our teeth and eyes in our heads. It does not offer much protection to a full strike from a rattan stick. Its not for everyone. To some its crazy, brutal and wreck-less. But these are the same comments people had for bare-knuckle boxing, wrestling, MMA and just about any other form of physical contact activity ever created.Just about all of the fighters are well trained. Varied disciplines in both weapons and empty hand arts.Fighters choose to fight. Much like asking a girl to dance, its pretty much how you pick your fight. You size a guy up, discuss weapons, and go at it.Yeah, this is a dangerous activity. But we all know this. Ive broken a few things but keep coming back. no one has ever been lead out on a stretcher. The guy (good friend of mine) who took the chain to the head, actually fount to more times after that injury. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hello all.

I just stumble don this page. Anyone who dislikes this cant possibly be a fan of real life fighting scenarios. I mean what was the point of taking martial arts right? This just demonstrates that even the most skilled can get smashed. In the streets its totally different. Maybe you are all butt hurt at the fact that all those sweaty hours you rub up with men can easily be nullified.lolololIf you dont like this then you never liked org's like Pride. This got the juicing flowing because its not so damn scripped like the mainstream mma. The shit you all try and compare this too. I am a HUGE fan of these guys now.Dont compare this to mainstream mma, its way out of its league. Its funny because most of the guys here complaining are the same ones complaining about the boring fights you all pay to see, or stream ;)

blah blah blah..

That was fukin AWESOME. My comment above was more aimed at the gentleman (Red-x) calling people newbs for voicing their displeasure with this. Last I checked this was an mma forum where you discuss your opinion and it is not surprising that many find this pretty silly and dumb.Kung Fu K9 - Ohh the good old fashioned get in there and look stupid comeback - how clever.Truth is actually I feel I would handle myself pretty well in there but I would not want to do it TBH it seems silly to me. I dont partake in MMA fighting because I do no particularly enjoy getting hit in the face. I definitely would not enjoy getting hit with a weapon if I did I would play hockey or lacrosse.

jammyman I get what you are saying, I realize MMA varies and is not just limited to no holds barred fighting, this to me seems like childs play and most of all unrealistic. Someone in hand to hand combat is going to keep fighting until they are dead. They don't just stop because they got hurt. Fighting wounded is better than dying like a coward. Not only are these guys getting real, hardcore training in, they are also having fun. Just like wrestling or sparring, after you do it so many times it just becomes second nature and instincts take over. What this means is that these guys are far less likely to be killed by a thug robbing them. As wrong as it sounds, nearly every human being will react the same as every other human being when identical situations arrive. What I mean is if you are tripped, you put your hand down to stop the fall. If you take a blow to the back, you spin. These guys have seen it thousands of times in sparring sessions so now they know what's coming next before the opposition reacts. Also, like riding a bike, you don't just forget how to handle a weapon. Once your brain is trained, the rest is all reaction. You can go through the motions based on muscle memory alone.

If you have never been in or witnessed first hand, close quarters combat then you might not understand why they fight after the “wounds”.
