Besides that moment in the second that could have been the end of Franklin’s career, Wand didn’t have much to offer. His style is all customized for explosive aggression. If he can’t storm in and overwhelmed his opponent, he has a hard time finding his range.
If he wants to go on, he needs to continue to adapt his style to his age. He will probably have a much easier time if he fought people his size. His short limbs have also put him in trouble a couple of times. I don’t think he can cut that much although being short enough, but he would be much better at 170, fighting fighters at his height.

The Japanese crowd and the Brazilian are diametrically opposed…. I prefer Japan. Civil is the root word in civilization.

Not sure which looks siller. Franklin’s hairplugs or Silva’s nose. Wish Wanderlei would get back on the juice and start mixing a few jabs in there.

Dont know how anyone saw silva win anything except the second round. good fight for ace can’t wait to see who is next for him.

It seems like it’s just me but I thought Wanderlei looked pretty good. It’s obvious that father time has caught up to him but he still had some great moments in this fight

man does wanda look different to anyone else? People saying wanda needs to change his game or drop weight are clueless. If he cant win anymore it doesnt have anything to do with that, its the fact hets getting old in mma years. He dominated mma at 205 and now hes kind of that guy just trying to hold on just so he can still be in the show.

wanday lost for sure, i watched it twice. a good 2nd round doesnt secure the fight. all the wandy fans are watching the fight one sided.

Fight should have been stopped IMO. Franklin laid there taking 5 straight punches 3 times in a row and the last few he just laid there getting punched till the bell rang. I think he got the former champ/main event/late in the round non stoppage and unfortunately for Vandy he was pretty much gassed after that.
