I hate when they dance for 4 minutes and fight for 10 seconds and its over. Nice KO though Log in to Reply Iconoclast December 28, 2008 I am a Silva fan, but he’s on the downside of his career. Too many KOs. He should probably retire before he takes much more permanent damage. Log in to Reply Iconoclast December 28, 2008 Oh yeah. Classless punches to a defenseless opponent. Log in to Reply bmore December 28, 2008 WOW!!! I wasn’t gonna post anything, but whoever the imbecile is that wrote that Rampage was basically swinging wild….GROW A BRAIN OR GO SEE THE WIZARD. Watch the replay genius. You’ll see Rampage block with the right…then the left…BREAK HIS NECK DAMN NEAR WITH THE KNOCKOUT LEFT HOOK…then…then protect from any return left hook with his right hand again. Respect to Wandy, but it’s over for him. Rampage’s next…whoever better start training now. YEAH Q…YEAH!!!!! Log in to Reply jfreezy December 28, 2008 Twas a dark night…. Log in to Reply Kappi December 28, 2008 Rampage’s action is unwaranted after Wandy is out cod…This is no difference that what Babalu did it to the other guy and got punished. UFC’s double standard… Log in to Reply coutura December 28, 2008 i got to tell you mma fans one thing nog looks slower hes speed and reflects are gone this pride fighter didn’t get tested i think rampage is a natural killer but nogueira brothers ,wanderlei, shogun, crocop, phil baroni, antonio big foot silva, victor belford, ciborg santos, alerstin overim, even the great fedor all those brazilian athlete should get tested before dana give them a ufc contract … looked at how easy mir destroyed minotauro and looked at the fight he fought against fedor or crocop on pride common nogeira is only 32 he looks like hes 50 Log in to Reply Luke December 28, 2008 About the punches after Wandy was out: If you at the replay angle you can see clearly that Rampage didn’t really hit Wandy, his gloves hardly touched his face and the arm was completely stretched. This was a completely controled show of Rampage. Log in to Reply Irootoko December 28, 2008 Silva ha always won by overwhelming other fighters with shear aggression. I called this because the fighters at the top are smart fighters. Rampage has grown up since the Pride days into a smart fighter and Silva hasn’t, which is why he has lost most of his recent fights. Log in to Reply vizion1 December 28, 2008 Great fight… Shogun is back.. Rampage vs shogun? Log in to Reply replacement December 28, 2008 I am so happy that Rampage won that… I think i agree with a few comments about ‘page’s suseptability to leg kicks Bisping and his crew really need to help him with that side of his game because it will be detrimental in the long term… Log in to Reply Luke December 28, 2008 P.S: Maybe the first of the 3 was a little bit tougher 😉 Log in to Reply replacement December 28, 2008 Just wanted to add I got real passionate about Wanderlei in a previous post, said that he ‘sucked’ or words to that effect… He is a great fighter and i do not think his career is over…. Log in to Reply Sonic December 28, 2008 Wanderlei is past his prime as with crocop and liddell. Log in to Reply bmore December 28, 2008 Stop whining because Rampage whup-kicked his ass with a couple more BOMBS before his carcass was rescued by the ref. Did you see what Wandy did to him with those viscious world-class killer knees from the plum position? During their first fight Wandy pummeled Rampage mercilessly when he, in fact, virtually held Jackson up so he could whup-kick him some more. You gotta bring ass to get ass and all that shit that Silva talked up to the fight he’s lucky he got to leave the ring breathing. How the hell can you complain about unneeded strikes in a sport that’s built and thrives on DESTRUCTION??? What about when BJ Penn EXTRA-CHOKED Jens Pulver even AFTER the referee tried to pry his hands off his neck? Silva would have the done the same or worse. SO WHAT!!! If you don’t like it jump into the octagon and AVENGE this so-called travesty…NOT, ha, ha, ha. It’s a FIGHT stupid not a tennis match. He got what he got SGOI. Log in to Reply bmore December 28, 2008 In case you wonder…it means…So Get Over It!!! or DSAI…Do Something About It. Happy Holidays and Bye Haters…LOLOLOLOLOLOL:-) Log in to Reply yoyo December 28, 2008 kappi, of courrse it was warranted. Log in to Reply InnerStrength December 28, 2008 If you watch closely Rampage only landed one shot after the ref touched him (he almost hit a second but slowed his hand and stopped). The ref wasn’t holding Rampage for “a good 5 seconds” like someone said; at 3:43 the shot that knocked Wanderlei out landed and BY 3:46 Rampage was already off of him and walking away. Just because a fighter that you like lost doesn’t mean you need to try to discredit another fighters legitimate achievement with slander; it’s childish and just plain lame. Rampage won, i didn’t think he would but kudos to him, he did great a great job. Now deal with it. Log in to Reply biggz28 December 28, 2008 lol did you see chucks expression, pricelesssss, and ya kow the more and more i watch the ufc the more and more i like joe rogan Log in to Reply DMAN09238523 December 28, 2008 Hey, I know you Wandy lovers are crying. Basically a fighter doesn’t stop until the ref pulls him off. Fighters are caught up in the moment and you don’t want to take any chances of your opponent getting up. Don’t like that? Go watch another sport, there was nothing dirty in this fight. Log in to Reply stupid December 28, 2008 I would consider it luck if I went in there and knocked out Wanderlei but Rampage (who is a trained fighter) simply did what he’s trained to do. Instinctual, yes. Luck? no. Log in to Reply sam December 28, 2008 the end a age, sad!!!happy for rampage Log in to Reply Cez617 December 28, 2008 Rampage all the way baby!! Don’t doubt this guy, I never lost faith in him. Joe Rogan is a prick, why does he say that those punches after Wandy got TFKO were unnecessary? Have ya’ll seen the Pride fights when Wandy KICKED Rampage at least 20 more times after he was knocked out?? That was unnecessary. The ref should’ve let Rampage kill the f’n axe murderer. Log in to Reply morgan December 28, 2008 man he blocked those shots and then bam OUT COLD Log in to Reply crazy bear December 28, 2008 Silva, I respect the fighter you are, but you have to learn to be humble as the Shogun! Then you will again be the great champion that always was! Do not give up, I’m rooting for you! Log in to Reply learn2swim December 28, 2008 I just hope Rampage has cleaned up his life so this can truly be a turning point. I saw just a bit of humility and humbleness that was never there from Quinton. Log in to Reply causil December 28, 2008 like i said before, it starts with BOXING !!!! boxing is the foundation of fighting. you can know all jujitsu want, if you dont have a proper boxing foundation eventually you will fall in mma. all rampage did was a typical slip and counter punch, almost the said punch he hit chuck with. Log in to Reply natedog December 28, 2008 good punch that Log in to Reply Drew December 29, 2008 Silva may never recover from this. As Rogan said, getting brutally knocked out takes its toll. I don’t know if he will reach the top again. Log in to Reply 9E6A7S4T4SIDAH December 29, 2008 that was some nice ass boxing. dont doubt rampage. you know!!!!!!!!!!!! Log in to Reply toño December 29, 2008 lucky shot…wand was leading….hes mistake for not to put his hands up….rashad will kick rampage ass…..i hope forrest regain the title…he was to ****in relaxed in the fight…other wise he will win Log in to Reply white rat December 29, 2008 wandy and big nog should both retire. they won’t be champs again ever! passing of the torches. the new fighters are far more well rounded. Log in to Reply Robert December 30, 2008 Cez617, 1 that was pride and Rogan didn’t commentate on those fights nor do you know his opinion. 2, Rampage was still standing when he ate those knees and when he went down Wandy stopped. 3, Rampage saw that Wandy was out and it’s unmistakable that he was out and yet Rampage still punched him 3 times while he was sprawled out cold. Think harder. Log in to Reply Roddong December 30, 2008 I think that I am the only one that noticed (or commented) that Wanderlei was fighting smart and he did have the upper hand until rampage threw one of the most well placed punches of his career. ****!! As you can see I commented before about how I was concerned about wanderlei just trying to box with rampage..I knew it could easily go wrong. The sport is evolving fast and Wanderlei should become a coach like many people have said. He is one of the greatest of all time but he has already reached his peak and now he is falling of his mountain (or getting knocked off). Getting off the juice is real thing as well, the pride fighters all did roids.. Ufc is sticked about juicing and look what happens. You dont have the power that you were used too. Log in to Reply STU December 30, 2008 Steroids turn your jaw into glass. Log in to Reply gunnyhighway99 December 30, 2008 Rampage is the original black stud in the MMA world. It’s good to see him back. Log in to Reply KSG December 30, 2008 holy shit my mouth dropped when i saw Wandy falling. Now Rampage can say 3rd times the charm Log in to Reply herb December 30, 2008 Uncool of Rampage to take those extra shots at the end. It’s not like the ref wasn’t draped all over him trying to stop him or anything too obvious. Dumb ass. Log in to Reply ndnmma December 30, 2008 Rampage was pumped right up..Good for him..Glad he was able to come back with a KO on Wandy..Wandy’s okay, he’ll be back…Hopefully? Log in to Reply steinmiller December 31, 2008 Silva was way too timid in this fight. Log in to Reply mikyot December 31, 2008 OWNAGE!!! right on the kisser!
