I used to hate Wanderlei because he beat Sakuraba 3 times, and Saku’s my favourite fighter of all time.
Since then I’ve warmed up to the guy. I like him and I want to see him do well. I hope the surgery helps him. He seems happy. Hopefully he gets less cuts around his eyes and he sleeps better now. This will improve his performance and I think 185 is a good weight for him.
I had a couple chuckles at “hair saloon” though. hahaha

I think this is the same surgery Diaz and marcus davis had. 200 stitches is a lot of stitched. That’s a ton of scar tissue. Not being able to sleep would suck.

At first i was horrified by the hilariously bad first pic of wand that was floating around. Now he looks better in the video and i think the swelling will continue to go down and look better. And hearing his explanation made it sound like a good decision, Wand would do anything to become a better fighter.

Did anyone catch what he said about worrying about the future and living in the past? Awesome! Its all about living in the now and then to know that he is a God fearing man and thanks Him for his blessings on his arm? Wanderlei is truly an epic warrior; he’s defeated men in what seems like brutal fashion at times, but he’s always been willing to fight and never backed down from a challenge even when the odds were not in his favor. Often paying the price in the same brutal fashion, for that he has my utmost respect; he’s always been willing to go out on his shield like a true warrior.
However his new life & career here in the U.S. doesn’t come without serious consequences. Many of Brazil’s tightly knit fight schools like: ChuteBoxe & BTT have all but disintegrated by fighter defections. That same training & work ethic they achieved in Brazil just has NOT been able to be duplicated Stateside.

Thats reaaallly sad.The guy get hit so much(cus he has no defensive skills)he needs to do plastic surgery.You dont see that happening with Fedor,Anderson silva,Belfort,CroCop,etc.He should learn to evase some hits,not going like crazy,try to protect himself,instead of doing plastic surg.
