Wanderlei Silva Respects Brian Stann But Will Not Fight Him

Beyond that, Silva is right. He shouldn’t be a stepping stone for younger fighter to make a name. That’s the best way to ruin your career (ask Lil Evil).
Like Randy, he needs to fight people with a solid record and some belts in their past. A rematch with Belfort would be sick, but I am not sure it would go any different than the first time. Vitor is younger, faster, and has a better style matchup than he had against the long-legged Spider.
The big problem for Wandy is that the middleweight division doesn’t have anyone like that. While Randy could go up and down in weight to face some legends, Wandy is a bit stuck. Not many people in the LH are still small enough to make for a fair fight. Even Randy is way too big for Wandy.
Besides some obvious rematches, I see Wandy nearing a forced retirement for lack of compatible opponents.

I really wanna see Wandy vs Leban. Man it would be a slug fest. Also think Stann should fight Nate Marq****however the hell you spell it.

Stann wouldn’t be a smart match up. Wandy would likely win via KO and ruin Stann’s career or Stann would stall for 15 minutes and produce a boring fight. Even if Stann did win, would it really matter? Wandy is my all time favorite but he isn’t the fighter he was 5 years ago. He goes into every single fight with bad intentions and never leaves us disappointed. Wandy vs Chuck was probably the greatest fight in history and it, unfortunately, was also the end of their dominance. Love Wandy, but he needs to fight Anderson Silva once and then hang them up. No matter what, every card he is on I will buy.
