Vitor Belfort vs. Anthony Johnson Fight Video UFC 142 Rio Co-Main Event.
Back Up Vid.
Yay!! Vitor won!!!! He’s relevant again!
thanks bruno!
that was a great win and he let johnson fight heavy.
Right on, Vitor! The support of the crowd was electric!
WOW!! VB is back and he is deadlier than ever!!! He KICKED AJ’s BUTTTT!!!
vitor looked awesome
Instant karma
Great to see Vitor win. Maybe Rumble will now go back and pretend to be a welterweight again, what a douche.
Bring on the spider.
Glad Vitor won. How much did Rumble weigh today cause he was 211.6 pounds 3 hours before the fight.
WOOOH! Awesome fight! Vitor looked amazing! and AJ looked huge! What a cheater hahaha so happy for VB!
AJ needs to rethink how serious he is about this sport. Let’s see if he gets fired or not.
Anyway, great victory for Belfort! Wanderley has his work cut out for him.
quick stand ups + dehydrated = gassed
rumble f***** this one up. he had him hurt with that big right hand but didnt follow it up. also he needs to learn to posture of like king mo and drop some bombs. keeping your head close to a guys chest doesnt do s*** for you. watch old sakuraba, posture up and drop bombs. if u are postured up there is no way in the world they can submit u. how do u avoid the triangle, posture up, how do u avoid the armbar, posture up, how do u drop bombs, posture up. simple is as simple does
Listening to that crowd on my headphones sent chills down my spine-Going to Brazil to attend a UFC event is now officially on my bucket list-Thanks-as always-to Bruno
Wow, great for vitor but man i wanted johnson to win and be a serious contender. I was definately upset about the weight as many others. And the ref, what was up with standing them up after 15 seconds?
Thank you Bruno!!! Always the go to guy for everything MMA!!! Love u Bruh!!!*No Homo* LOL
Fixed.
Those quick stand ups were f****** BS. Referee is a piece of s***
rumble was tired, he n his coaches f***** ds 1 up bad might just cost him his job. bigups to vitor for accepting the fight event thou he was 211
Whatever. Johnson gassed after 2 minutes. That and the worlds fastest stand-ups = another Brazilian win in Rio.
To me it looked like there might be something to the medical condition angle Johnson was playing. He came out looking for a single strike KO, his takedown attempts and scrambles were way off as were his haymaker punches and kicks. That is not the way he fights. Anyone else inferring that, or is it just me?
were some quick stand ups and i even hate lay an pray but mirgliotta seemed eager to please the brazilians…
still i hate how AJ tries to cut so much weight. and the dude got gassed within 1 round….man.
love that crowd! so much energy! love you Brazil! grats on a good night. don’t worry we got pleny of ass woopins comin your way.
i´m a big fan of vitor an i´m happy that he won… but no one of you talk about the quick stands up after the takedowns of aj. dan m. doesn´t let aj work on the ground. a big factor in this fight…in the usa they would let them on the ground. maybe the fight would go much longer….but i like this rules. no chance for lay and pray!!!
Anyone else think the quick standups were just ridiculous!!!! And wtf was the deal with AJ he should be ashamed of the condition he came into this fight. In the grand scheme of things this fight was pretty meaningless
Too bad for AJ. Ref didnt help with immediate stand ups twice while AJ was working GnP.
quick standup’s it was like dana told the ref not to like AJ get any position to win this fight. Aj would have won if the ref didnt bs him on the ground to take some of vitors gas out
Never had any doubt that my boy would win this.
This is why Manny Paqcrap makes all of his opponents sign no rehydration clauses, Manny fought De La Hoya when De La Hoya was on an IV before going into the ring; it’s a great advantage to dehydrate your opponent. Floyd Mayweather allows all of his opponents to rehydrate in fact Floyd fought Carlos Baldimir when Carlos weighed 170LBS in the ring and Floyd was 137LBS. Obviously Johnson wasn’t himself it’s his own fault for not simply stepping up in weight.
i think the quick standups really determined this fight, AJ never got a chance to get his ground game going, which was clearly his plan going into this fight. Alot of wrestlers would be f**** if they refs always stood up this quick!
Wow, what bullshit 2 stand-up only 10 seconds after Rumble takes Vitor Belfort down! Personally, I thought that Belfort might have won eventually, but I hated to see Rumble get cheated.
Say what you will about AJ not making weight but when you cheat a fighter you screw with their record, their money, their livelihood, and their legacy. Has anyone seen 2 quicker stand-ups and a clinch break-up along the cage? Keep in mind the entire fight was only 4:49 into the first round.
Stand ups sucked but Johnson was not inflicting any kind of damage whatsoever ..Vitor vs Wandy 2 is gonna be fun, i got a feeling the outcome will be similar to their first encounter, but the ko won’t happen until the later rounds.
Hits to the back of the head much?
Nice quick stand ups lets cut the lay n pray bull$hit out of the game.
Not doing any damage on your opponnent? Stand up beiatch!
good fight…hope AJ get his s*** together..missing the weight did him no good
They cheated Anthony and you all know it. Dana was pissed off at anthony, Probly told the ref, if anthony takes vitor to the ground Give him ten seconds of work, then stand him up. if the ref let him work on the ground like vitor got to, then the fight would have went the other way
And the title of Biggest Waste of Talent goes to…Rumble Johnson! What a dip$#!t. Easy, easy, EASY “W” for Anthony, but a dip$hit will be a dip$hit. Props to Vitor for the finish, though I think even Gray Maynard could have finished off Rumble, as exhausted as he was.

Guess pride and “steroids” doesn’t ruin guys.. they are what they are, especially overeem. Kinda early standup by the ref for UFC wrestler protection standards. What is this? catering to the pride and “k-1″ fans to make it exciting (read promote offense and more points) like the nfl rules of no helmet to helmet and nba rules of no hand checking?
It’s ok in the sense that I kind of prefer to see the league go into more striking and versatility instead of lay and pray but it needs to be explained that it is going on. As much as I hate the lay and pray it has been a legitimate “strategy” to win and make money.
If the league is trying to move away from this type of judging and fighting they need to let these idiot “wrestling/grappling only” fighters know. YOU ARE FCKIN WITH PEOPLE’S LIVELIHOOD!. As James Terry got screwed from his decision when he clearly did enough wrestling in my eyes (based on the standard the UFC created of top position and staying active enough) to take the fight from Burrell and the promotion of “new black athletes” in order to open up that part of the market share even more, since it’s a surprisingly weak part of mma demographic. Guess there isn’t enough money yet to really motivate that sector and bring in the NBA NFL athletes and crowd.
Sorry for the rant. Just a trend that I notice that I kind of do like but it needs to be implemented in a fair way.
ooops one more thing, if Dos santos has taught anyone anything, it is if you don’t want to give up that base and sprawl yet to these guys like to dip their heads constantly for takedown attempts the uppercut is just as nice a knee in most cases with the exception of exposing your head instead of exposing your base. Good thing vitor started to recognize this halfway into the round. Too bad fedor couldn’t, wouldn’t, tends not to like to throw uppercuts or that Bigfoot fight may have been different. And no that doesn’t mean Fedor wouldn’t have lost to other fighters, just may have changed that fight.
And Victor did give some shots to the back of the head but everyone kind of does it when someone has gotten dropped and the flurry comes, ie prater and silva. Up to the ref to pull them apart to reset or take a point away. Bones uses his reach and extends fingers (sometimes in the eyes of opponents) for even more reach sometimes but what are you gonna do. You have to either deal with it it make the refs more aware, whatever. FIGHT!!!!!
Um why didn’t AJ even attempt to defend that choke. Seriously, his hands never moved and he had plenty of time to defend it. Perhaps he was so gassed he just went for an easy way out.
Weird. Well good on vitor. Seems like a good guy and gets a nice paycheque boot.
Everyone needs to stop crying like little girls about the weight. Its not that big of a deal. Heavy weights fight all the time with 10, 20, 30 pound differences. Vitor weighed 186, AJ weighed 197… before the fight there was only a 5 pound difference. So who really gives a s***. Dana White told the ref to make AJ pay for being disrespectful not making weight, so anytime AJ was on top.. ref would stand’em up.
Piss Dana off and you will lose the fight one way or another. Yea, and thats Vitor’s trademark, back of the head baby. Again disrespect Vitor by not making weight… and he’ll bash the back of your nappy in. ![]()
If fighters are in a neutral position without action for 10-15 secs it should be stood up asap. Fans come to see fights not dry humping
AJ never had a chance in this life or any other one for that matter, his contract is about to be cut anyways.. @ Alex yes there were some rabbit hits, but how much did he weigh again? 230 cut to 216 then when he was 204.6 they had to give him tons of fluid and he barley made lhw this was a MW 185 fight, he got what he deserved and he did land one shot on Vitors left eye, too bad he isnt Tyson Griffin
Vitor loves punching the back of the head lol look at his last 2 wins, the Erik Silva fight was ridiculous horrible call so stupid. Lol
guys AJ is a sick striker to assume that Vitor had an advantage standing is rediculious! It is BS that they would stand them up so quick, Vitor was going to go for a submission and they were stood up!. How did the fight end anyway? on the ground, vitor style!
I love Vitor. He’s one of my favorite fighters. However, those quick standups were bulls***. He would’nt have won if the ref wasn’t doing that.
victor won but johnson was knackered you could tell he could not have went 3 rounds he wanted to finish early he was falling over himself i wanted victor to win but johnson needs help might as while pill weight on nd move up again
First stand up, 31 seconds head to chest, no pass, not even weak punches.
Second stand up, 21 seconds after the single, Vitor throw a bunch of punches to AJ while Rumble just held on.
Third stand up was complete bullshyt, AJ didn’t do any damage, but he was trying to work and punch.
First stand up I can agree on, 2nd, maybe give 10 more seconds and last one should of stayed on the ground.
seriously this Johnson guy looks a lot tougher than he actually is.
how manny shot where behind the head????did i hear homecourt advantage??
All u homos protecting AJ for being overweight saying is no big deal ur a bunch of idiots… DO u know whow hard it is to cut weight, diet, etc to meet a specific goal..its hard work….so for the other dumb ass to get to eat better, suffer less through training, etc, and get a free pass??/ WTF…AJ is lucky he got to fight! he didnt come in 1-2 pounds over, he came in 12 lbs over! In boxing thats 2 weight classes! Thats a huge advantage! So Im glad he was sucking wind and dehydrated…thats what he gets for being unprofessional.
good fight for Vitor but I have to say I didn’t agree with the Ref’s decision to stand up the fight at least the last time because Anthony was clearly landing shots and the outcome could have been different who knows.
