why you guys hating on vitor, the guy has won all of his fight by knock out except for the silva fight since he came back and now he is not a good match for jones, i think he is the better match, quick hands and slippery. trust me no one has tested jones chin and vitor is the guy to do it, dont be surprised if we see an upset here. war vitor!!

Wow if ppl are hating on JBJ for turning down a fight on 8 days notice, You better damn well hate Machida and Shogun for being cowards and not taking a fight on 30 days notice!!! I know they’re scared cuz JBJ wrecked them both like they’re some mid tier Hilll billy town casino fighters, but still. Supposedly they want the belt back? HAHA lil fairys declined to fight though, too funny!!!

Wasn’t Shogun on medical suspension anyway? The guy recently came off a war. I can understand him turning down the fight. Machida? Come on, man, take the opportunity when it presents itself.

I don’t think there’s anything that will make sense for me with Jones turning down a short notice fight. It’s not as if he wasn’t training, couldn’t make the weight, wasn’t in shape, etc. He was already good to go. And I would think after a long camp of preparation, you are almost ready to fight anyone. This after Jones declared to Sonnen “I’m more than you’ll ever be” (“except I’m afraid to fight you on short notice”).

I dont think a lot of ppl are gna pay to watch vitor get his ass handed to him again… and how can any of you “not blame” Machida or Shogun but blame jones? Hendo and Chael are two different fighters. thats a COMPLETE game plan change! so jones is supposed to just say ok? yea that woulda been “the champion thing to do” but lets be real! Dana’s the B**** of the equation. if you got “so many guys willing to step up” you coulda found a new main event, then aired it for free because it wasnt the main event everyone wanted. or even pay per viewed it still if it was marketable enough. he coulda did somethin to make it work. instead he cancelled to make jones/jackson look like an event killer so he’d lose fans, sponsors, whatever. all because jones “messed up his money”.

Jones had a entire training camp to prepare for Henderson. Greg jackson felt 8 days was too short of a notice for Jones to take on a guy as dangerous as sonnen. They trained for Henderson not for a guy at Chael’s caliber so they aren’t ready. In other words, henderson was a easy fight for jones, but they never expected to get into a real fight so he didnt have to train as hard

Totally irrelevant fight. Seriously, Vitor is not relevant at all. Who will really pay to watch this? The only people who want to see this fight are Vitor fans from back in the day.
