Urijah Faber gets into why he feels he is under paid and that he hopes to resign with the WEC after the last fight on his contract. That is if they can come up with the cash.

The outcome of that fight was as legit as any other win or loss. There was a turn of events that led to him breaking his hand and losing. That is what happens. Maybe he threw a shot wrong, maybe Brown ducked at the right time. Playing the “what if” -game is the most useless thing in the world.

Faber is a cool guy in the way that he doesnt complain or whine or make excuses for when he loses. I respect that in a fighter, someone who can take their losses like a man. He also seems like a cool guy in general, which amounts to making him one of my favorite fighters. I wanna see him fight BJ in the UFC though, but i doubt that will ever come to ” fruitrition”. xD

Good interview. Faber is just kind of a say it like it is kind of guy and it’s refreshing. I like that he calls the money into question, but keeps it from sounding like he’s whining. Hope he gets back together and gets a good fight soon.

Honestly IMO, when a fighter breaks his hand hitting an opponent, I see it as them just not being as hard inside and out as that opponent. Mike Brown is a pale farmhand fucking ox, Faber is a pretty boy beach kid. Brown is just too fuckin raw for pretty boy to hang with. I personally know Mike Brown and what zebo13 says is absolutely true. It’s nothing against Faber as a fighter, it’s just the way their bodies were built. See, I live in Bangor, about 5 minutes from Marcus Davis’ gym. Ever since Sylvia came outta’ here (bartending about 15 minutes away), the guys around here have had something to turn to. There’s just so much farming and crap going on, and there’s no night life. So a lot of us “hicks” just turn to MMA. Mike Brown, the earlier Tim Sylvia, Tim Boetsch, Marcus Davis. I mean, look at it! These guys here are just built solid, and most of them have an attitude to boot. And I’m not talking about all of us, just the MMA fighters here. When this is ALL you have, you just somehow seem to pull it out better. Brown will beat Faber any day of the week. It’s a mismatch.

I’m not taking anything from Mike Brown but, Faber actually beat himself in the first fight by doing that stupid gay move and getting caught and breaking his hands on Brown’s hard head on the second. Brown is a solid fighter with great strength, but he’s just too raw and unrefined. He’s too stiff and really slow with no upper body movement needed for the striking game. If Brown’s handlers are stupid enough to agree to fight a fight with Aldo, you’ll see what I mean.

And mike brown is still trying to convince fans he’s worth more than the turd my dog left in ur front yard. Its quite sad really u can finish off a one handed opponent. Faber for president
