Uriah Hall and sparring partner trade a few kicks with each other.
Don’t expect to kick someone if their head and not expect to get smacked right back. Hall could have done a lot worse. Reminds me of when “The Crow” did a spinning back kick to Charles McCarthy. Same reaction here. Stop breathing, crap pants, falls down slowly.
The kick he got was a bit hard but it happens. The kick he gave in return was meant to hurt. What a douche.
What a douchebag. They were sparring lightly but he got caught with a headkick because he was cocky then he started to throw more powerful shots.I have yet to see a gym where they let you throw spinning attacks in sparring since even if you don’t throw them at 100% they can still hurt and KO people.
Hall showed respect there i like it…
Tapped him to say good kick, bided his time so the kid though he wasnt gooing to return the favour
boom your winded son.
Whut iz dis? that ain’t no sparring with your hands down low! Even when you do not hit with force you should always have your hands up – or at least have the skills not to get caught. Hall ate quite a lot of hands!
… but the kick was sweet:)
Good god you pussies a spinning back kick will knock your wind out temporarily as shown here. And its obvious Uriah still pulled it. He just timed it well thats the most important thing
hall is a sensitive lil bitch.. showed in TUF
Stop whining. That liver kick was NOT hard. The opponent was moving forward into it and THATs what caused it to hurt. Not Uriah’s force in delivering the kick You guys who call him a douche for that probably never trained anything in your life
Tear and Kungfulowkick,
I agree they were light sparring and hall was trying to act like anderson silva and being all cocky with his hands down. The white guy threw a high kick it was a bit hard for light sparring but it happens from time to time then hall throws a pretty hard spinning back kick. Even though it was not near full power, the momentum and power you can get out of that kick is insane. Hall threw it to hurt that other guy for sure.
Was Uriah holding his hands that low as an exercise or out of ego? Either way I felt each kick was equally dangerous.
Actually after watching it a couple more times the other guys kick was not even that hard for light sparring. What made the impact alot worse was hall moving into the kick. Also if he would have had his hands up he might have been able to block it or partially block it
That was probably on 60% from Uriah. Good grief he could’ve of finished that easily if it were a real fight.
too bad he cant do that when he steps in the octagon fight night infront of all the ufc fans cough CHOKE cough.mr big shot talks like hes already champ then loses to the true ultimate fighter kevin!
He spars just like is last fight….lazy. I hate to see him get in the habit of fighting with his hands down and taking punches like they don’t matter. Sooner or later you get caught. Too much potential to go to waste training like he doesn’t care.
Sounded like a rib broke….can hear a snap
@ straightAhead, I totally disagree with what you said. Uriah was trying to be Anderson Silva like with his hands down and got hit with a kick to the head. It was nothing more than a slap from the padding. Uriah is a douche bag for throwing that spinning back kick REGARDLESS of how hard it was. Like you said, he walked into the kick, which could have ended up with a broken rib if it landed there. Why doesn’t he go ahead and start throwing eblows at 40% power, I guarantee you he’ll get cut within 5 minutes of sparring. There is a reason you shouldn’t throw spinning back kicks, elbows, heel hooks, etc in sparring sessions because they injure people.
@^^^^ Exactly. There’s non written rules in gyms where you don’t throw “spinning s***”,like Nick would say, because you don’t need much to injure somebody. These guys are pros. They are not there to show who’s the alpha dog(well Uriah seems to think that),they are there to get better and win their next fight. You can’t win your next fight if you constantly get dropped or injured in sparring.Of course I don’t expect guys who never sparred to know the rules of sparring.
Even the look after he threw the kick was cocky, kinda like-that’s what you get kinda look-while the other guy touched gloves when he landed his kick as to say sorry,Uriah you turd you’ll get yours you bum!$!!!!!!!
For suuuuuure broken rib. I would put money on it!!!!! Hall could have easily done something less vicious to get even and satisfy his ego , If i was the white guy i’d go get my gun……
@OG mma oh and then you would go and get your gun and then what, go to jail for getting your ego hurt?….you sir are a retard!
and the rest of you saying Hall was out of order, it’s clear you will never be fighters. he took at hit so what! so easy to tell who is just online talking s**t and who has really had some real fights in there life.
London_jones, I have been on the bad side of getting popped with a hard shot during “light” sparring and I have accidentally hit ppl to hard during light sparring but this is not a case accidentally hitting somebody with a hard shot. Hall obviously got his ego hurt when he ran into the guys foot and wanted some revenge to re inflate his ego
@OG mma Really??Kill a guy for having a bit of an ego in sparring.Yes it’s douchey to throw hard in sparring when you clearly are sparring lightly, but it doesn’t mean he deserves to die.
It’s obvious that most of the people here don’t train at all, much less spar.
That kick was not hard. It was clean. Beautiful sparring session. Nothing wrong there whatsoever.
So much Vagina and misunderstanding from some of you guys. Stick to sewing.
@^^^^ How the hell is someone supposed to train things like spinning back kicks like that if its not allowed in gyms? Clearly when pros are training they agree before hand on what is allowed each particular sparring session. I know i were training with Uriah or any one going for MMA competition i would expect to train as if we were in the actual match. The only restriction would be what percent of effort we should spar. I dunno where you guys train but it sounds very b-league to me.
Simply put: If is allowed in a fight then its allowed in training! How else to prepare offensively and defensively?!?!
The head kick looks 20 – 30% power…..almost like a slap in the face. Uriah’s spinning back kick looks +80% power with the intent to damage.
@straightAhead I know in my gym we don’t throw spinning attacks. And my friend trains at Tristar now and they don’t throw spinning attacks during sparring so guys don’t get injured before a fight.Tristar is pretty B league though…
@KungFu…: then i guess if i were getting ready to fight someone at TriStar i would train my spinning attacks and its setups all day cuz you guys wont be prepared to defend – lol
Who said i would kill him…… Maybe make him s*** his pants and cry? Douchebbags like him need to but put in their place….. This is light sparring with no head gear…. You act cocky get clipped and then break the guys rib? come on ……. I have trained martial arts & mma for years and people with egos like that are not welcome at any gym i have trained at….
This is not f****** tekken buddy!
He looks like a cocky ass to me, hands down, fainting and such
That was bull, for everyone saying the kid should have expected a return for his kick. Listen the kid threw a kick that was not going to hurt Hall, but Hall was being cocky had his hands down and walked into that one. You can see that after the fact, even though he acknowledge the kick, he was pissed and came after the kid. Like someone here said he was trying to be Anderson Silva when he has no head movement, kept getting tapped. He’s a dude with too much ego. I trained, and taught mma and we had guys like this in our school that after being there a while and being in our fight team started acting like douche and when things like this happened we’d warn them and remind them that we were all there to learn. If by them they didn’t learn to keep their hands up and acted out again we’d boot them. You got to remember that you are also running a business and getting other people hurt and not having them at your school is money out of the schools pocket.
I cant tell if he had bad intentions or not..but we already know he’s an emotional douche from TUF so I didnt like it before I even watched it.
A controlled spinning kick to the gut. Quite okay for light sparing. Certainly not full speed or full extension
