For me Jones is not a fighter, hes an athlete who happens to have picked this sport. Bisping is right for saying that. What Bisping means is that a Champion in MMA should stand up to who ever is put in front of them regardless of the situation and hes right. Its why I love the sport and respect fighters more than other sports men and women.

But on a serious not if Bisping wins his next fight after realistically beating sonnen 2 rounds to 1 he will get a title shot, i guarantee you, who else can they give Silva these days.

This “fighter” or “warrior” schtick needs to go. The sport has evolved into an athletic endeavor, not just guys with too much machismo who want to prove how bad they are. Dana is using that mentality to keep athletes on his roster to do whatever he wants by challenging their manliness in order to manipulate them to fight under whatever conditions the company deems best for the company. Jones, while I don’t care for him personally, was making a business decision and shouldn’t be derailed as less of a fighter for it. The man has fought the best in the world. Yeah, we like Don Frye because he’ll fight anyone, but now the guys retarded from getting punched in the head too many times over the decades.
