Whole thing sucked on paper, proved to suck in action too. Probably the weakest, most pitiful card in the last 5 years. Not one single top contender, not one single exciting fighter. Just a bunch of “who cares”. ZUFFA called this one in early. Too many Brazilians on the card, made for a one dimensional night. I know there is gonna be a troll come in and start whining about why it was a great card, just to argue. Please, no more crap cards like this. This looked like a Strike Force event. Log in to Reply frankdemichelli January 16, 2012 not a single top contender!???? STRIKEFORCE EVENT?? tempted u really know what youre talking about Log in to Reply mmamike January 16, 2012 you sound stupid the only thing that sucked is the confrences mainly all the fights was a finsh u must like george st quirre and the ones that wernt finsh were good fights except one one paper looked weak but in reality greatt ur not a fan of mma Log in to Reply mmamike January 16, 2012 and honestly i would rather see a group of who cares… finish fights then a group of known fighter not finish fights Log in to Reply Twana January 16, 2012 If Vitor and Aldo and not top fighter..then you must be a fan of wwe..go watch brock and wwe.. lol Log in to Reply bangedurmom January 16, 2012 This card was great, full of action and excitement. Tempted are you a man on man hugger??? Tempted do you like man on man mount snuggles??? Im sorry this card was not good enough for you, it may have been all the punches and kicks, and the fact that they were FIGHTING that may have turned you off. The best advice i can give you Tempted, is please continue to watch man couple figure skating, and dont watch any combative sports. PS I hope you dont have any nightmares Log in to Reply asbarran January 16, 2012 siighhh @ tempeted…. apparently you’re not an mma fan. Sorry Brock wasn’t in this card lol I guess you only watch mma fights only when the #1 fights the # 2. Typical!!! Strikeforce is owned by the UFC BTW Log in to Reply dub506 January 16, 2012 what a moron! (@tempted) thats all i have to say. since when did aldo become a who cares fighter. oh right since he isnt in the wwe!!!! Log in to Reply JG January 16, 2012 @tempted you are an idiot. No top fighters? Aldo is probably top 4 pound for pound in the world. Vitor just out himself back in contention. Palhares is a beast! and should be considered a contender after he wins 1 more fight Log in to Reply JG January 16, 2012 also the fightd were awesome! That spinning kick will probably be contender for knock out of the year! Log in to Reply HAHAHAHAHAHAHA January 16, 2012 This card was ****ing amazing. One boring fight. Id rather watch a bunch of exciting fights rather than ‘known fighters’ going the distance in boring fights (GSP) Log in to Reply VisionQuest January 16, 2012 great ****in card…it was maybe not the best ever, but I got caught twice yelling OHHHHH!!! SHIITT!!! I didnt see two of the those KO’s coming at all. Log in to Reply Tempted January 16, 2012 And let the trolls rain. Vitor ain’t a contender, Aldo is only there cause nobody else is. This card didn’t matter and was boring to watch. Log in to Reply Tsagoii January 16, 2012 No top contenders?!! Hmm, that comment let us believe that you may not know much about MMA / UFC SAAVY Jose Aldo is a UFC champion, Edson Barboza just delivered one of the most perfect roundhouse kick to the head in UFC history. Knocking out Terry Etim on the spot and watching him fall like a tree to the mat. I let you do your research for Vitor Belfort. I was satisfied with the card. Log in to Reply Freaklegion January 16, 2012 @Tempted – Who’s the Troll? LOL Log in to Reply Tempted January 16, 2012 @Tsagoii Idiot. Wasn’t even a round house you fool. A couple half way decent finishes don’t make up for 30 rounds of crap. Too many Brazilians, made for one dimensional fighting all night. The Etim KO will be considered KOTY but other than that this card will never be revisited. Aldo is the champ because nobody with talent has recently challenged him. I’ve always been a *true* mma fan unlike the sofa screamers commenting on here. I’ve always hated Strike Force, Dana White and pro wrestling. I’ve always acknowledged that the UFC is far and away the greatest mma org in history. I also knew you trolls were going to start yapping just to argue in an attempt to beef up your online profile. Had the first comment been “This card rocked!” the same monkeys crying right now would be saying how horrible the card was. Log in to Reply T'Challa January 16, 2012 Guys.. don’t feed the troll. Log in to Reply Axe Murderer January 16, 2012 Clearly some one knows nothing about MMA and needs to do some homework. Aldo is only there cause he deserves to be there and once again made it look easy against a very worthy undefeated opponent. It’s not his fault he’s a bad ass and no one has an answer for him and won’t for a very long time. I won’t even start with Vitor cause he’s my all time favortie fighter and I can be here for days but I will say this when he fights Anderson again or Chael if he wins, Vitor will be champ again. Log in to Reply The Issue January 17, 2012 The issue is not ESPN. The issue is that the UFC Fighters have NO UNION like NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA etc. ONLY when the UFC Fighters have a Fighters Union can they negotiate a FAIR Percentage of Revenue, 50-50 Split with the UFC, like the NBA, NHL & NFL. Lorenzo pretty coy about revenues “it’s close to or it’s in the ballpark” bullshit. Log in to Reply jointlocker January 19, 2012 It definitely was a sleeper hit. Log in to Reply Tempted February 7, 2013 I was right, this card has been forgotten and nobody gave two craps about it a week after it was over.
