UFC on Fox 5 Fight Card: Henderson vs. Diaz – Fighter Lineup Finalized Baring Injuries.


The UFC on Fox 5 event, scheduled for December 8th in Seattle, WA, is looking to be one of the best free cards of the year. The first UFC title fight on free TV in a year will have UFC lightweight champion Ben Henderson defend his title against Nate Diaz. The rest of the main card is full of great fights, with LHW prospect Alexander Gustafsson taking on former champ Mauricio Rua, and welterweight contender Rory MacDonald taking on legend B.J. Penn.

Swick, MacDonald, Gufstafsson and Smooth. I hate when I pick against who I’m rooting for, but I am in the main-event. I want to see a Diaz get the belt. If that made a rematch with Donald for the championship, that would be the most pumped I’ve been about LW in a while.

@ Doyle Brunson, Rua is hard to cleanly KO. I expect him to get rocked and then TKO’d or submitted with an RNC

I have Bendo, Gustaffson and Swick. Bendo should win with his wrestling and Swick is a significant step above Matt Brown. Harder to pick the Penn/Macdonald fight because something tells me that Penn can take his back and choke him out. Yes, it’s unlikely, but if Penn could take Fitch’s back twice, he can possibly do it to Macdonald IMO. Macdonald will likely win a UD though

I also want Nate Diaz to win but Bendo is bigger, stronger, a better wrestler, and yes Nate’s BJJ is better but Bendo is HARD to submit (only subbed once in his career, when he was new to the sport). Bendo by decision.

Penn, Diaz, Rua – that’s who I’d like to see win doubt it will be who wins however. Long way off, I hope the fights actually occur.
