I agree with TheAbe. People say “he made a mistake, no biggie, etc etc” OK, but It could be You that He hit into, or your mother or your dad or any other person You know. I don’t know is it a cultural thing, or just a matter of ignorance, but in My country(Poland) You’ll be scared as f*** to do it because when they catch You, You’ll get like 3-5 years in jail, and if You cause an accident its like 5 years and more. People need to think more about the responsibilities of there actions.

As fighters, athletes and humans, its good to promote a “good” role model. I think that’s why they’re taking the time out to address the situation and just using Jones as an example.

the right answer is luckily no one got hurt or worse.should he be getting crap for doing it?yes no doubt.have we all done it?probably and we should get crap for it too.it takes a smart person to learn from others mistakes.it takes an ignorant one have to make a bad mistake because they didn’t care to learn from others.we all see whats going on and none of us are immune to the trials and tribulations of life.

The problem really is our cultural take on Alcohol…When I was a kid in the 70′s people used to have “one for the road…” Seriously! It wasn’t until the 80′s that DUI/DWI because this amoral act (for clarity I consider it an INCREDIBLE STUPID AND SELFISH ACT but not amoral or immoral).

The sad fact is that just about EVERYONE who drinks and has regular access to a car has committed DUI. It is one of the WORST things you can do but also has to be one of the most common crimes next to Tax evasion. Is it right? NO, but I think judging Jones character over it as anything but an entitled 24 year kid who’s really good and massively successful is way over the top.

He was respectful. Jones f***** up. Big time. It DOES mean he has to grow the hell up-like all of us have had to do at some point?-yes it does. It doesn’t make him a horrible person though, not any more horrible than the rest of us…

Jon Jones should be behind bars as far as Im concerned. Drinking and driving is potential fatal for OTHERS than the people in the car.
