Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will take on Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine at UFC 96. It will be shown live from the Nationwide Arena on Saturday, March 7, 2009.

Interesting match-up, I hope Gonzaga takes it to his strength (the ground) and subs Shane Carwin…either way, I think Junior Dos Santos is the next exciting heavyweight, along with Keingo if he improves his take-down defense a thousand percent..

I think the only way Jardine stands a chance against Rampage is by fighting his hit and run style that he used against Lidell.

When he’s patient and uses his leg kicks, throws punches and backs out he has a chance. If he goes for a toe to toe slug fest it will be a short night and he’ll be waking up looking at the ceiling again.

I think Rampage’s boxing is just too quick and powerful for Jardine who has shown recklessness in his fights. I think Jardine will get clipped again and followed up with punches until it’s over.

Forrest uses a much more effective jab, better footwork, and range than Jardine does.

It is not totally insane to think Jardine can win this match up. Rampage better come ready for a brawl. I think this one can go either way but Rampage will probably take it. JArdien is no scrub however

PS Just saw the movie Midnight Meat Train with Vinnie Jones. Was really surprised to see Rampage in it, didn’t know he had done a movie.

i like jardine but i think he’s gonna lose. rampage is an aggresive fighter, he will put pressure on him. the only chance he has is if he manages to pull off his little leg kicks and not get ktfo and win by decision.
