Almost everyone makes weight for UFC 85. Bedlam might not have some of the biggest names but sometimes these types of fight cards produce the best shows.

Dxman it does in MMA it is serious if it wasn’t nothing like this would ever happen. Also he is a proffesional fighter he should know that making the weight is extremely important.

It’s too bad that Chris Leben has to be stupid. I wanted to see him knock Bisping out. Instead we get Bisping vs. Day (I could care less). I want to see how Bisping fares against the best guys in the Middleweight division. They need to give him some quality opponents and quit trying to pad his record. Who knows, maybe Day can win.

P.S. I thought Andrei Arlovski was the “Pit Bull”, not Alves.

GSPfan and MAS have it exactly correct… these guys are professionals trying to validate the sport further etc. should NOT miss weight at all.. no excuses.. regardless how hard it is… its the path chosen deal with it or look like an idiot and be called one

I think its a good card any real mma fan would know that Hughes, Alves, werdum, Vera, Bisping, Day, Davis, Swik, Marquardt, and Leites are all either a big name already or a known up and comer and if Hughes doesnt have a problem with Alves not making weight then nobody else should

This UFC card has no interesting fights. Dana White should have aired this on Spike because I believe the pay-per-view proceeds will be the lowest in history. I’m not a big Matt Hughes fan, but I wish him the best as he is a true professional; unlike Alves who can’t make weight for the biggest fight of his career.

Why is it that Dan Miragliotta will let James Thompson drop over 50 unanswered elbows on Kimbo and not stop the fight but he don’t let Vara weather the storm for 15sec. I think that cat is making side bets the fight comission needs to check in to that shit that dudes a joke.
