Alves wont be able to bully Hughes in the clinch like he does everyone else. As much as I want Hughes to win, a St. Pierre vs. Alves fight sounds exciting.

Hughes always says the same thing before a fight. “He doesen’t have the strength, knowledge, or will, I will win no doubt about that” Does he write that shit down? The fight is going to be sweet. The game has evolved, I see Thiago winning this one. I think he brings more arsenal to win this fight. I don’t think a simple ground and pound can stop Thiago, he’s pretty good with his ground game.
I’m not taking anything away from Matt but versatility is much needed nowadays to win in the octagon. Thiago reminds me of “The Spider” Silva in a way, well versed in both stand-up and ground. They both pick their shots, and brutal in the clench.

Weez, you clearly had missed Huges latest fights, he’s not a G&P only guy anymore…and the true is, he’d defeated better BJJ guys on the ground and standing up too…Parisian mistake was to stand up with Thiago, I don’t think Huges will do the same mistake…
