Per Eklund vs Sam Stout
Stout wins 30-27, 30-27 , 29-28
Boring fight that saw Eklund not able to take Stout down and boring exchanges. Stout did more than enough to get the win.
James Lee vs Alessio Sakara
Sakara gets a TKO win after unloading rights to the head of Lee until the referee stops it at the 1:30 time mark.
Paul Kelly vs Paul Taylor
A better and much more active bout. Paul Kelly squeeked out all three rounds for the win. All judges call it 30-27.
Antoni Hardonk vs Colin Robinson
Wow! That was quick. 17 seconds. Hardonk came out and pounded 2 knees to the body, 2 leg kicks, 2 fast jabs and the fight is stopped by Yamasaki.
Jorge Rivera vs Kendall Grove
A big surprise for many people. Rivera punishes Grove from the start. Rivera shoots in, gets Grove in half guard and punches until Grove gives up his back. Once on Grove’s back Rivera pounds away until it’s stopped by the ref at 1:20 of the first.
Wilson Gouveia vs Jason Lambert
Good action going back and forth in the first. Lambert had the edge and I give it to him. The second started with Gouveia being backed up to the cage. A hard left catches Lambert clean. He’s knocked out. Game over. Winner is Gouveia.
Marcus Davis vs Jess Liaudin
Liaudin is popping Davis with leg kicks as the get settled. A solid left from Davis drops Liaudin. Davis pounds three more on and Yamasaki stops it a minute into the first.
Gabriel Gonzaga vs Fabricio Werdum
Round 1 : Gonzaga giving it to Werdum so far. Werdum is looking better but Gonzaga gets a strong knee bar to end the round. The bell might have saved Werdum. 10-9 Gonzaga takes the first.
Round 2 : Werdum gets off an uppercut before Gonzaga clinches. Gonzaga is getting in low kicks. Werdum knees Gonzaga twice in the head. Werdum is letting lose on Gonzaga and he looks hurt bad. Gonzaga falls and Fabricio jumps on and throws fists and elbows until the ref stops it. Werdum gets the TKO win with about 30 seconds left in the second round.
B.J. Penn vs Joe Stevenson
Round 1:Penn pops Joe with a uppercut and Joe drops. Penn is on top pushing Stevenson up against the cage. Penn stands up and hits Stevenson. Penn throws an elbow that slices open Stevenson’s forehead at the hairline. The round ends with Joe bleeding bad. 10-9 Penn.
Round 2: Stevenson comes out swinging. He is already bleeding again from the cut. Penn is working over Stevenson. Stevenson drops down and covers up. Penn gets his back. B.J get a deep rear-naked choke. It’s over. Stevenson taps quickly. He is totally spent.
