I think Matt Serra should be carefully prepared for GSP, and forget about the first fight when he won. In this game the fighter should be on his toes all the time and not sleeping on his glory.

I feel bad for hughes, and I think he could beat GSP if he had the same training circumstances. I still big fan for hughes style.

I wouldnt say liddell really kicked ass. That fight was too short and liddell was out of gas; it should have been 5 rounds.
I’ve only seen the end of the hughes fight, but I’m just glad that the a-hole got his kicked AGAIN!

Yeah Sawsan your right about that, but Hughes was training for Serra and had to change his gameplan to suit GSP’s superior fighting style. Either way, GSP is the best pound for pound fighter in the world, and I’d love to see him bulk up and take on Anderson Silva.

Canadian Kid, at least Hughes was training for a fight, GSP wasn’t training, period, when that fight landed in his lap! Hughes himeself thought that was an advantage he had in pre-fight interviews.

At any rate, we do agree that GSP is the welterweight king, and probably the best fighter in the UFC. He does need to move up to Anderson Silva’s weight class to test that theory, though. Now, that would be a fight worth watching.

I have noticed a trend I am not sure it is ,because Dana is a pride fan and picks favorable match ups but these “monsters” in the pride game are weak.

Since the merger every fighter from Pride starting with Mirko got there ass handed to them it is scary how much better the american fight game is then the Japanese ex. in the last pride event Jeff Monson smashed that huge Japanese fighter who was supposed to be a monster. and the Nigger in this event got owned by Machida who is an excellent fighter and I think deserves a title shot.

Clementie and Guillard this to me sounds like a first fight i do not see how it was a highlight fight but i dislike both guys and hope Clemetie finds his beat down outside of MMA for his classless act he needs to realize he is 155 pounds or whatever he is not tough shit. Pride has had some great fighters compete there in the last 10 years, but I guess people like you have only been aware of MMA for 6 months…. hence your ‘expert’ opinions.
‘Minatauro’ was a top Pride guy and he got beat by Fedor and only won the 2nd fight on a cut when he was getting beat again.. I got a lot of respet for him, hope he beats Sylvia… but will that then mean that Fedor is the uncrownd UFC champ?? I’ll leave that to the ‘experts’!!!!

It’s clear that a lot of you people don’t know anything about MMA. It’s really sad actually, the best fighters in the world have participated in Pride and theres no doubt about that, unfortunately the UFC being American owned stopped a lot of fighters from participating in it.
