He put a beating on Jones and deserved the win! **** these dumb ass judges who are ****in blind as shit. One judge had it 49-46. What a ****in joke. Jones couldnt walk straight after the fight. Ok so Alexander took the harder shots… All 5 of them! Alexander landed 10 times as many punches and Jones could barely speak clear enough to be understood when talking to Rogan. Alexander should be champion. He was robbed! Log in to Reply blow September 22, 2013 unanimous?gus won 1,2,3 in my opinion.c`mon son… Log in to Reply sammy September 22, 2013 joe rogan is a cocksucker, he was so biased commentating the main event fight. Log in to Reply charnc1122 September 22, 2013 CaptainObvious – I could not agree more. I watched this fight as it happened, and NO WAY did Jones win. Gus landed more strikes and took Jones down, and the damage to Jones’ face was obvious. The only thing I can think of is the judges didn’t like Gus’ backing away from Jones – but thats a smart fighter – like Condit did in the Diaz fight. Gustafsson was robbed. Log in to Reply Doyle Brunson September 22, 2013 I was there live and literally there is no way in any dimension that Jones won. One of the biggest robberies of all time. Log in to Reply Chicago September 22, 2013 @ sammy. I think he talked about what he saw. For 3.5 rounds he mostly talked about Gus boxing and td defence and after that it was mostly JJ talk. Bias against who? Log in to Reply Amosaback September 22, 2013 I din’t have a problem with Jones getting the win. Here’s how I scored it. Round 1: Gus Round 2: Close (I could see that round going for either guy.) Round 3: Gus Round 4: Jones (Gus won the majority of that round, but I think damage trumps strike count. The way Jones hurt Gus at the end of the round was more significant than whatever Gus did during the first 4 minutes of the round. Honestly, if Jones had had his wits about him he’d have kept Gus in that double-plum clinch and finished him with knees against the fence.) Round 5: Jones It was an incredible fight, and I honestly would be nearly as content with a Gus winning the fight since round 2 was so close. The only judging issue I really disagreed with was the 49-46 call for Jones. BOTH of these guys are absolute warriors! Log in to Reply yo September 22, 2013 gustafsson was robbed he won the 1st,2nd I think the third was a draw the fourth was a draw and the fith was gustafsson just because he gassed does not mean he didn’t do enough to win, I think the judges and a lot of people gave the fourth to jones just because he rocked alex near the end of the round, for some reason they forget that jones got beat for more than half that round but the crowd got excited when alex got rocked at the end so I knew the judges were going to give him that round but I think it was a draw. 3 rounds gustafsson 1 round a draw and 1 round maybe jones but just maybe. Can not wait for the rematch. Log in to Reply cutu2bad September 22, 2013 Joe Rogan should call it a day being a Company Tool bag is one thing but Joe has taken it to the Next level with his corney brown nose B.s Log in to Reply Ground St. Pound September 22, 2013 Wow, the bitterness. By official numbers, Jones outstruck Alex both in overall and in significant strikes. Alex was also the only one walking around dazed at any time. Alexander also ate head kick after head kick for the last round and a half. I agree it was a hell of a fight and a close contest. I can even imagine how some could have scored it for Alex, but saying Alex was “robbed” is just plain bias. Rd 1 was obviously Gus, Rd 2 and 3 could be seen either way, although I thought Jones won Rd 2, and Gus Rd 3. Rd 4 could only be Jones and Rd 5 was Jones again. Gus had one undebatable round (Rd 1) and Jones had two (Rd 4 & Rd 5). Alex was rocked and stumbling around. Jones landed more shots. They were 1 takedown each. When challenging the p4p #1 fighter out there right now for his title, you have to TAKE that from a him. Alex did well, no doubt, but he didn’t win in my opinion and he certainly didn’t get robbed! Log in to Reply Genghis Khan September 23, 2013 49-46 should be fired for life… None the less awesome fight. It’s a draw in my opinion the rematch will settle the score Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
