Bruno: No problem. Log in to Reply farsight July 7, 2013 I cannot stand Joe Rogan’s super definitive his way is the right way talk. Silva was made famous by his showness. It doesn’t work this time, so now Joe Rogan says “you shouldn’t fight like this?” All those antics made headlines and made him famous. Who the hell is Rogan to tell the world how to fight. Same with his podcast. He loves things like that so he can carry on his ego tripping mind and dictact his ideas to the world. Telling us how we should be and think. What a tyrant. Can’t stand him. The guys that did the commentary for Pride were a more pleasant experience, in my opinion Log in to Reply Vancouver-98683 July 7, 2013 Silva got knocked out fighting his style of a fight. If Weidman were to lose. It would of made him a genius with his matrix style. In short – The better fighter won period! Log in to Reply Tear July 8, 2013 Silva was clearly the better fighter. Part of his style is taunting his opponent, and this time he paid for it. Weidman was not impressive and will lose in a rematch as well as to Bisping and Belfort. Log in to Reply YODA July 8, 2013 Joe rogan is the man, best mma commentator ever. He hit in on the nail “you can’t clown around like that against skilled fighters” Log in to Reply baller July 8, 2013 Rogan said it all Log in to Reply kyokushin July 8, 2013 @farsight: exactly my thought hes the same guy that worship him and calling him names like: 1. jedi master 2. a ninja 3. real life bruce lee. f**k u. bruce lee was real. 4. a character from video game. I guess the dance floor is closed now. dancing session has finished. Log in to Reply AOPrinciple July 8, 2013 Come on, guys! Anderson Silva just fought “the way he fights” and he was simply beaten by a better opponent?! Sticking your head out with your hands down at your sides isn’t a strategy or a fighting style for Silva; it’s an indication that he doesn’t respect the ability of his opponent. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an Anderson Silva fan or not: if you think he took this fight seriously, then you’re just deluded. I completely agree with Rogan; Silva was caught, like he said, being a clown. Period. During 90% of the standup Silva looked faster, crisper, and more accurate. If we were to see a Weidman-Silva rematch, and Silva were to take it seriously to reclaim his belt, I have no doubt he would kick Weidman’s @$$ Log in to Reply greengiant July 8, 2013 Everyone is saying “silva always fights like that” but I could tell a noticeable difference. He was clowning more then he usually does. I thought to myself “if he does not stop he might be paying”. Log in to Reply Truth July 8, 2013 lmao @farsight Who is Rogan to tell a fighter to keep his hands up? Someone who is offering GREAT ADVICE, that’s who. Log in to Reply Lou July 8, 2013 @Vancouver-the bette fighter won? really? LMAO!!! then you woke up from your dream as your mom yelled-dinner’s really pumpkin! Weidman wins and his better than Anderson? get a clue before posting such comments! and got eat mommy’s diner before it gets cold! they gotta get rid of Golberg man,he sucks so bad!!! Log in to Reply NotVinnieJones July 8, 2013 “All those antics made headlines and made him famous.” No, him winning fights and getting the belt made him famous. His antics in the octagon made him hated. That’s why people are so happy he lost by doing all that clowning around. Rogan is just stating the obvious. If he would have had his hands up protecting himself instead of standing there with his hands down and wobbling his head around like he was dazed he definitely wouldn’t have gotten KO’d a split second later. I don’t know how you can refute that. Log in to Reply farsight July 8, 2013 re: Truth, But Rogan never fought a bout. hes only spared in kickboxing from what rogan said as of ’10. Just my subjective opinion of Rogan. and you can have yours re: NotVinnieJones, yeah I think so too – I think ya just misunderstood what I was saying though – he fought well but you’re making a different correlation to the point I was making. I was just talking about his notoriety before the fight. The messing around got the best of him this fight, yes. But the previous times through the six past years, worked. The mind games made fighters act up so that he can put on bullseye counter strikes. the showy moves pulled fans in nasty.. hes the only mma fight w over 1M twitter followers. companies ran w it. Building him up into a mystical being = more $ for them. everyone was on the spider train and saw him as a sort of myth. I’m just saying, the skills helped him win but the boasting and showmanship helped make headlines, talked in bars, pulled in bucks, thats all I’m saying. Log in to Reply farsight July 8, 2013 re: kyokushin, thanks for the reply. yeah seriously man.. imo rogan is a bit of a buzz rider. sometimes propelling too much speculation. idea pumper. but I guess thats his job. and he needs to trumpet what they tell him to. HERE SAY THIS :X. Log in to Reply Miike July 8, 2013 Re: Lou: Weidman wins and his better than Anderson? get a clue before posting such comments! Usually the guy who wins is better, that’s kinda how we find that shit out, ok maybe not in a messed up decision but by KO yea Weidmans better, on that night, maybe on a different night Silva would be the better fighter, its all in your performance at that given time. If you want to argue who is the better fighter overall then you can look up both guys careers and make an opinion, but at the same time you will see this fight while looking up both and you have to look at that, that’s how I see it. My Opinion: Weidman wins hes better, if they have a rematch or a trilogy then we know for sure Log in to Reply Ironfist July 8, 2013 We can’t really say Wiedman is better than Silva until they fight…oh wait a minute they did fight and it seems Silva got KTFO well I guess the evidence would point to wiedman being better not exactly rocket science. Log in to Reply Lou July 8, 2013 ^^^^^ Sure buddy you keep telling yourself that,he was better the night of the fight, duh! but overall? heck noooooo!!!!! all that AS has accomplished doesn’t matter then? get a clue too bud, cheers! Log in to Reply goat509 July 9, 2013 It’s a shame Anderson didn’t take the fight as seriously as he has in most of his other fights. I woulda been very upset if I was in Vegas betting on a fighter who acted like that. Silva would still be my pick in a rematch, he looked very dominate in the short time he was actually fighting seriously. Anderson even looked quite “show boaty” on the ground to me. Also Rogan is the man, who is a very accomplished martial artist, perfect dude for the job just like Dana White, Bruce Buffer, and Big John. All of them get and live fighting. More than just the fights make the UFC great. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel replyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
