I cant get a read on Dana. Either he knows about the pretty obvious drug abuse in MMA, like every sport, or he is ignorant to it. The reporters made good points tbh. The commissions tests before and after the fight are so easy to cycle for. Random testing, on everybody. Although they could still cheat, its the best the UFC can do. They’re making plenty of money. Why pay out for health insurance for your fighters, but not do the best you can to ensure they’re not killing themselves with PED’s?

+ it is a bit suspicious that no one has ever tested positive for ANYTHING in Montreal. GSP always fights there too? + Belfort is always fighting in Brazil? Does point towards the UFC doing/knowing something ‘fishy’

(he fights in Montreal because of ticket sales, the same reason brazillians fight in brazil)

Dana’s effort to duck doing random drug tests was almost certainly money related. He does kind of have a point, insofar as the UFC would need to build infrastructure to carry it out, but this seems like the kind of thing that is going to linger n gradually get more uncomfortable over time. The more that the media talks about it, the more pressure will gradually build up from the public demanding it n ultimately the clean fighters themselves will want to know that their opponents are not using. Perhaps it’ll eventually be a part of their health care packages.
