UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and challenger Nick Diaz talk about their five-rounder at UFC 158.
As much as I wish George would stay on his feet more, he is one of the hardest guys maybe the hardest guy to game plan for because he knows his game and his strengths and he sticks to them. He won’t stand very long after getting knocked out by Matt Serra and that head kick from Condit. Nick has nothing to be ashamed of, hopefully he keeps fighting, he has a lot to offer. I would like to have seen him win the championship once before he retires because I think he is a very good fighter.
gsp is a seigneur!!!
i guess as humble and respectful as nick could be….still love him…but georges is tough whether you like his style or not
send the losing bully to a mental institute.
If you were a world champion, made the money he makes, have to pay for what he has to invest for his camps, training, coaches etc, you would do whatever it takes to “stay” the champion for as long as possible.
Nevertheless I was wishing during the fight for George to knock out Nick, but Nick is definitely a tough guy.
he talks about quitting after every fight, also interesting that Georges said Nick did great job in promoting the fight.
You just have to understand that Nick was in UFC back in the day when fighters were more of the brawler type vs the strategic type. I’m sure it’s messing with his mentality of fighting and that he would rather get out than have to learn a new mentality of fighting. That’s what it seems like to me. Yall have your opinion and I have mine. I respect yours as long as you put some thought into what I say as well
GSP will never knockout anyone again
Out*
I knew nick would likely lose.
but everyone says that nick couldn’t do anything with george etc etc.. to be fair, george couldn’t do anything with nick.
and to be fair. georges face looked worse after the fight than nicks.
nick is tougher than george.. but george has a smarter game. that’s all there is to it. I really like both of them and I’m a huge fan of nick diaz
That’s bs.. Have a title fight in Vegas where drug testing is under Keith Keizer and plus nick got there two days before the fight .. U do need time to adjust to Canada’s time pattern at least a week … Diaz looked gassed and not himself .. Have them fight in the u.s and see the real CARDIO Diaz … Futt buck g.s.p DAILY
Some bad blood between Kron Gracie and Braulio Estima.
Boring fight, nick is just being nick, he’ll be back.
@War hunt
Canada’s time pattern? It is the exact same as the U.S. time pattern. The west cost is 3 hours behind the east. So Montreal’s time is the exact same as New York’s time. And blaming a 3 hour difference for messing you up? Come on, 3 hours is nothing.
ok is it just me or was this like the first time he’s made sense (Nick) he spoke clearly and fluently! actually impressive! (for him) lol
What did Nick mean when he said he found its strange that George new what he was going to do in the fight. He said it twice its almost as if he was insinuating espionage…..anyone else notice this?
This fight was boring. I knew GSP wouldn’t stand up with him. I don’t mind ground and pound ONLY if you’re effective and can finish there. UFC rules need to change. They benefit wrestlers too much.
WOW! some people are never happy? GSP stands and boxes, takes Nick down, I don’t get why you people hate? Anyways….Nick had a bad day but don’t give up. Two MMA greats going at it!
