@Tempted Your 100% on the right when you talk about GSP not being nearly as strong as Chael and your right saying that Silva is way to big and strong for GSP.. but then you go on to talk rubbish about Diaz submitting him early? Not sure if you watch the GSP fights but his submission defence we keep him out of trouble on the ground and he will take Diaz down at will. Your also overlooking the fact that GSP has extremely underrated stand-up.. Sure he doesn’t have Knockout power but he will hold his own and take diaz down every round to win the fight. Condit was and still is GSP’s greatest threat at welterweight barring a Hendricks miracle punch!

You’re nuts. GSP isn’t half as strong as Chael and doesn’t have half as good wrestling. On top of that GSP hasn’t struck with anybody in over 5 years, he has exclusively been a lay and pray belt holder. Silva is way too big, way too strong and way too skilled. GSP needs to fight Diaz before anyone else. If GSP tries to lay and pray with Diaz, he’s getting submitted early. If he tried to strike he’s getting KOed late. His only chance is to use the Condit tactic and kick rocks for 25 minutes.

Was anybody really bored by that fight? There were hardly any lulls in the action and I felt tension throughout the fight… I felt like either fighter could take out the other in any given minute; either Condit was going to sink in a triangle, GSP was going to land the punch or elbow from top that would change the match or something else… I was not bored at all.

Gsp was alot more aggressive before he took a vicious headkick. Imagin how that felt and how youd react. Id say he had to go into pilot mode for a bit. I guess he could of stayed standing, still scrambled and thrown down but hey, Gsp for a reason

GSP could beat Silva as long as he takes him down. Sonnen was able to take Silva down at will…and GSP has better take down skills than Sonnen. Also, I would like to add that Carlos Condit is a badass! He can take a punch and has a lot of skills.

funny how all the gsp fans are saying silva should fight jones now lol….dont be scared homie!! with that being said; i dont think the condit /gsp fight was boring at all. i was entertained by it at least

After everyone of GSP’s fights, people say if the opponent just had better takedown defense then he would’ve won or done better…Cmon, when you fight GSP, I think its pretty common knowledge that he’s going to wrestle you down into his game. If you didn’t work TDD than you got no one to blame but yourself. Cause that’s GSP’s main weapon. With that being said, even if you gave a top welterwight contender a year or more to work on TDD, they still wont be able to stop GSP’s takedown. His wrestling is just too good.

Classic GSP lay and pray fight. He gets paid but the fans get laid. He should try to finish fights more often. As it is, I would rather watch condit fight again. Just sayin

I am no GSP fan most of his fights are boring to watch. Every fighter is different and does things good and there’s things they can’t do or not as well. people say why does GSP not use his kicks or elbows more that’s like saying why didn’t Condit use his wrestling more to not allow GSP to control him. Throwing a elbow is not that simple you must be in range and if your standing or on the top postion on the ground and miss a elbow strike you leave yourself open to a choke or counter strikes So from what I seen Of GSP he uses what he does best because facts are facts as boring as it is to watch his record is no joke but Condit did show that a world class kick boxer who could let’s say just stuff some of the take down attempts could beat GSP. Conduits take down defense was lacking he firms that up I’d watch a rematch

Why GSP doesn’t use his elbows? His punch are connecting but aren’t knocking anyone out,let alone Silva. Those thick thighs need to visit Crocop Academy. Still anyone fighting him hasn’t been able to use their go to moves, no ones has attacked him for a loong time. Hendricks won’t connect with him, but at least they’ll stand, Diaz is still more compelling though.
