Ya, it doesn’t surprise me to hear Jon say that he didn’t feel confident in his right arm after the armbar attempt. He looked tentative, and I think his standup in the second round suffered from that. Perhaps some of the punches Vitor landed can be attributed to that, too. I mean, he punched with it 3 times in the second round, by my count, but they didn’t look aggressive or, well, confident.

I can’t wait for gustafsson to hit his prime and go get that title. I really think he can beat Jones.

that said, Jones showed some heart and overcame his doubt. he started looking worried there for a minute.

JJ has clearly cleaned out the division. Dan henderson has no chance. UFC are really having trouble finding fighters for him since JJ walked through and finished all the best in LHW.

John Jones is a great fighter, but don’t you think he’s selfish minded. When he spoke about the DUI incident all he could say was how he was glad it didn’t change HIS life for the worse, and how lucky HE was to be alive. That’s pretty self centred. He’s lucky he didn’t kill anyone ELSE, never mind himslef. If he’d injured or killed somebody he would be the last person on the list anyone would have sympathy for.
But this is exactly the attitude you expect from John Jones, which is why he doesn’t really have any fans. And the Bob Marley entrance music. I can’t imagine anyone less suited to having that as entrance music. He even said in the video ‘who could boo bob marley’. He’s just trying to use it for credibility or to win fans over. I just don’t really like this guy.
