That solidified JBJ As a badass in my eyes, before it was like, sure he’s an amazing athlete, he seems pretty humble for a young man in his situation, but the reach advantage just kind of made me not like him.. felt like an unfair advantage.. as silly as that is.. now though, he has shown true heart and determination, I am a huge fan, JBJ is a class act!

I thought the ref is supposed to stop the fight if someone is about to get their arm broken. If Belfort felt the elbow popping that means the tendons were snapping off like rubber bands that have been stretched too far. This kind of injury could end up changing a fighter for life, JBJ took a big risk and it paid off. The question the UFC needs to think about is … is that risk acceptable to the UFC as a business? If JBJ is disabled in a fight, they loose a huge prospect. Wouldn’t it be more profitable if JBJ just lost the belt and then had a rematch? Maybe even a rubber match?

That fight showed JBJ is a true warrior besides being the true “phenom” fighter in terms of raw talent and physical gifts.
I am very curious to find out just how bad his arm is messed up and whether he will be back to 100%, I guess we will see. Best of luck on recovery for JBJ.
