UFC 148 was a huge disappointment. I won’t say I’m pissed because you never really know how a fight card is going to go… but..
Stun Gun and McKenzie crumbling in under a minute…
Tito and Forrest looked old, those post-fight antics were embarrassing…
Menjivar and Eastman was truly pathetic. There were a few none-MMA fans in the house and one of them said “it’s like they are being paid not to fully engage each other”. ha… ya that sounds about right.
and then Sonnen…. 1 round of inflicting no damage, miss a spinning back fist, fall and look up like “ok, you can beat me now.”
just a bad night. would rather have watched some old Rumble on the Rocks dvd’s.

Silva needs to step his game up. He’s far from done. Take another 205 fight or challenge a young up and comer in the MW div. He’s at his best when he feels threatened. Silva needs to nut up and accept some big challenges. That’s my only knock on him. He’s one of the most impressive fighters of all time, but he needs to keep pushing. Fight til the end man. Don’t be afraid to lose. Be afraid of mediocrity.
