@MMAMessiah … I agree that Dean made the right call. Dean is one of just a few that I want as the third man in cage. My point is/was that Mir is lucky enough that it was Dean. Many other refs would have stepped in and stopped the fight.

@mscash…Nog definitely had him rocked, but if Frank came back and one the fight, less than a minute later, Dean clearly made a good call.

I like Frank, but he should thank Herb Dean for some of his victory over Big Nog. I just watched the fight again to make sure I had it correct — Frank is in full on face plant with 2:17 left in the 1st round. Frank remains here doing face pushups and forehead rolls(lol) while Big Nog rains down the shots.

Herb looks close to stopping the fight and then warns two quick times for Nog to watch the back of the head. Around 2:06 of the round Nog sets into the guillotine– and the rest is now history.
