@hugemidget you sometimes hear chants during fights USA, USA but never at the weigh-in. But of course natives can do whatever they want in their own country. Just makes for a poor welcome. I feel that’s better saved for the fight.

The Brazilians have something to prove, it’s a young country that just industrialized. Aldo could beat anyone off of team alpha male. Aldo could win against all 3 at once Faber benevidez and mendez. Aldo let up and went easy on Faber and didnt chop him down like he should have. Faber went to the hospital right after the fight in tears. what does that tell you? Team alpha male used to be number one but has continually spiralled downward since the mike brown KO of Faber. alpha male is a stab and grab fight organisation there are no combinations and technical striking skills during their fights. Mendez will get Ko’ed and then it will be benevidez’s turn to get ko’ed or submitted. I would rather see the fight stay standing so Aldo can KO Mendez in the first round. Mendez doesnt deserve a title shot and is not in the same league as Aldo. This is an easy match up for Aldo. Aldo KO’s Mendez in the first 2 mins of the fight.

To some of you dudes: Don’t get mad at the Brazilian fans for booing non-Brazilian fighters. The fans are just super-passionate about their fighters, and not necessarily anti-American. It’s the same as when Oakland fans get booed by LA fans, and vice-versa.

Cutting weight is tricky. Everybody reacts differntly to cutting weight. It doesnt always work either. Theirs so many medical possiblilties Im not even going to get into it.
No way AJ did it on purpose. 20% of his purse is huge.
I dont think AJ should get cut either. He should however be forced to fight at 205 for the next few fights. If he makes weight then he can try 185 after 3 succesful 205 weight cuts.

I’m brazilian and I strongly dislike the booing to american/foreign fighters. I like my country and I like several aspects of its culture, but I don’t think we’re better than anyone else. People tend to judge all the american people because of USA foreign policy, which is a childish mistake. Sure there is a lot of self-centered biggots in United States, but there’s also a ton of good people, like everywhere else around the world. I think all good athletes should be respected, no matter where they come from. By “good athletes” I mean those who are respectful and have an accurate display of sportsmanship. Sorry for any grammar mistakes, my english is a lil’ bit rusty. Cheers!
