I totally agree with pitfighter i respect machida to the fullest.. But he will not be the one to down jones there is no way.. I mean Bruno i wanna hear ur insight who is jones biggest threat in LHW.. cause i cant pull one out without arguing with myself..

I cant understand why people think Bones Jones is arrogant. I dont see that at all, not by a long shot. He is a well spoken and respectful person…I dont see any arrogance there so I dont see what you guys are talking about. I like both of these fighters…should be an interesting fight to watch, if Machida is elusive, Bones will bring the fight to him…if Bones makes a mistake..Machida is experienced and talented enough to capitalize. Money would have to be on Bones though.

Yeah, no way man. I’m a big fan of Machida’s style. In fact I was rooting for him when he was only getting decisions, before he knocked out Thiago Silva.

Jones’s arrogance does get to me but he is very talented and creative in the ring. It’s hard to figure out how he’s so confident doing TKD kicks when it seems like it wasn’t a style that he’s done for a long time.

cigronne, I’ll be honest…. Machida’s HL reel KO of Randy, his destruction of Rashad, his 2nd fight with Shogun (which yes he lost), and his 3rd round against Rampage all were amazing and exciting. Yes Jones is a more dynamic and interesting fighter to watch, but not by much. Machida is entertaining is all hell to me. He is elusive because he picks his shots and for awhile, he was a magician who no-one could touch. And it’s funny that ‘fightdontbefake’ saye don’t judge people on their character with a name like that. Then he also says War Machida. Jones’ ‘underlying’ arrogance pisses me the hell off. Dude needs to get humbled. I cant stand his little smirk. He is a tremendous fighter, he deserves everything he’s got… i just don’t like his “I’m gonna make this sport bigger than it’s ever been” kinda talk. But I always rag on people for being keyboard warriors and here I am one myself. So War Machida, but War Jones as well. I respect all fighters, and Jones is a devastating finisher… I can’t help but respect that. (oh one last thing… that bullshit after the third round with Quinton (ie finishing the takedown after the bell and Rampage had stopped resisting) was VERY disrespectful and I’m glad the crowd booed.

@cigronne: I am pretty sure you are not talking for everyone here. Just looking at the 3 comments above yours, you will see 2 for Machida. Machida is not boring, he is one of the most talented, technical, and focused fighter in the UFC. The way he destroyed Rashad was unbelievable! Anything, but boring. Machida wrestles, picks opponents apart, breaks them mentally, and finishes them if they leave any opening.
Even his KO loss against Shogun; if you watch it again, he got caught throwing a KO blow himself. Shogun was faster.
If all fighters had the same style, MMA would be very boring. Machida, Jones, Shogun, Hendo, Evans, and Rampage all have very different fighting styles and that’s what makes the division incredibly interesting.
