What can I say, BJ, came in chubby and GASSED. 1st round he (BJ) was CLEARY the better boxer and fighter, but once his pace slowed down and his jab stopped coming out, Nick went to WORK and started working that body (a la Frank Shamrock fight). I have to say BJ’s one eye looked bad, but Nick’s whole face looks horrible. Definitely shows that BJ hits harder, Nick punches in bunches, and they both beat the crap out of each other. Nick looked HUGE against BJ, just a massive size/reach difference between them.
Stylistically, BJ was great for Nick, but give Nick someone like GSP, or even Fitch (super durable and a GREAT wrestler), and Nick gets owned on the ground by 3 or 5 round humping. If you look back, Nick is always sucking Jake Shields cock because Jake has the jits to smother Diaz. Jake can’t box worth crap, but he also has an IRON chin and he is a great grappler (Diaz’s weakness).
Honestly, I would love to see, Condit and Diaz, or call me crazy, even Cerrone and Diaze. The Cowboy is almost the same size as Nate, his cardio is good, his BJJ is very good and his kicks and chin are great.

I’d actually like to see Josh Koscheck vs Diaz first. Would be a much more exciting match i think. Gsp will probably just lay on diaz for 5 rounds. Meh. At least koscheck will engage diaz and he has a ton of cardio. Plus they are both dicks.

shithalls, you can’t spell. “Finnish” is a nationality, not a word, you doink. Everybody loves to hate, but he didn’t “LNP” on Kos or Shields. He did try to finish those fights. He wasn’t able to do so, but that doesn’t make him a boring fighter. He messed Kos up badly.
GSP will beat Diaz because he is a complete fighter. Hate all you want, but GSP has beautiful, technical and crisp stand up. He will beat Diaz standing, and he will certainly out-grapple him. He will control position expertly and dominate the fight. Diaz is a stud and a gritty fighter and will likely not get finished.
Other than the Hardy fight where he was too intent on getting a submission, and should have instead tried to beat him down, I don’t have any problem with any of GSP’s fights. His stand up was a little sloppy against Shields, but I think that’s because of the eye poke.
I’ve never understood all the hate on GSP.

Bruno do you feel that GSP is a boring fighter? Is he too reliant on safety or is he just a smart tactician?
Bruno: GSP is not my fav fighter but I would not say he is boring. 5 out of the last 6 guys he fought are very hard to finish type fighters. Before that he finished 6 out of the 8 fighters he fought.

im very disappointed bruno. i know posting these fights has to be difficult but ive never seen one this hard to see. ive checked everyday since the fight and here it is tues and i still havent seen it. the first post had no video and this one is saying its been removed. ur usually on point and i know its a difficult job, but damn, 3 days?? im stunned

HES BORING!!! he does just enough to win and no he does not try to finish. he either pitter patters around standing and runs alot or lnp till he gets a decision. yeah hes good, but a champion he should not be. 170 division in the ufc has been weak for years. look at who hes beat and ull see. gsp will fall to diaz cuz hes not scared and he wont let gsp dictate the fight or just lay on his back and take a lnp loss. gsp is boring, nuff said. and ive trained and fought mma, so this isnt coming from a keyboard warrior. i actually know a thing or 2 about the sport. and gsp blows and will never get my money on a ppv until the diaz fight. but thats to see diaz, not him.

Can someone make a list of people GSP has fought and who Diaz has fought in the last five years and see how has fought top 10 caliber guys and you will see the difference in competition GSP has fought high caliber fights than Diaz has check out the records

its not being tv remote fighters. we are comparing gsp to the diaz of today and how gsp fights as of late have been boring. no one said they could take these guys. ive fought mma and i know i would get blazed. its comparing them to the top level guys. really i was a diaz fan since way back. back when diaz barely won fights in ufc. and got owned by matt hughes. one of my fav fights of diaz was where he koed robbie lawler with a left hook waaaaay back. im not sayin gsp is a s*** fighter, i just like diaz better. and truthfully i like the thug ass F*** you attitude he has cuz he backs it up everytime. he doesnt have to be a math whiz or even speak well to be a fighter. and the way they called him the “former” strikeforce welterweight champ. complete disrespect, they could have explained he simply left the company and gave up the belt. he never lost the title so therefore that was bs to say that. give that man his title shot. waaaaarrr diaz!!!!
