Press conferences are too psychologically damaging for Diaz. I’m sure once he gets to his senses he’ll realize the mistake he’s done. It will be too late for him. Diaz needs psychological help if he wants to continue to grow in this sport.

Somehow, I wonder if this was done to trow GSP off his game. Make him train for one opponent and change the game plan near the end.
But it’s also part of the business, Diaz could have injured himself while training and pull out, but this is not the case here, he missed a damn press conf.

The UFC champ is the best fighter who displays “professionalism”, social skills with the media and eloquence. Everybody knows those are most fighters strong points and have everything to do with who beats the crap out of the other guy! It takes a lot of qualities to be a champ. Diaz may be able to fight, but lacks the ability to play the game, for whatever reason, maybe social anxiety. He’s probably some kind of border line autistic. He probably smokes weed to escape these problems, but it just makes them ten times worse.
He has let every one down including himself. Everyone including me is pretty p*ssed off with him right now, but he must have some serious problems which are going to stop him from reaching his full potential.
