UFC 135 Post Fight Press Conference Highlights Video.
“Jones put some fonk on meh!”
Hahaha. I’m actually a Rampage fan after this fight. He showed a lot of class in the way he responded to the turnout of the fight and I have a lot of respect for him now. If he fights Forrest next I’m not sure who I’ll want to win.
I’ve gained some more respect for Rampage and Jones after this, and although I still hated seeing Shogun and Page lose, I gotta give it up to Jones – he is awesome and keeps improving. I’d bet any weaknesses he had training with Rashad, and the weaknesses we saw last night, will all be gone by his next fight.
Also cool to hear that Seagal won’t be able to take credit for this victory!
OK…let me begin by saying that RearNakedSmoke and PitfighterZ are the 2 posters whose posts i actually read…what do you both think of this Bones Kid…Is he for REAL or what??? Watching Page against Bones reminded me of watching Bully Beatdown…I was looking for Mayhem Miller during the fight. Would you both not agree that the days of the thugs being successful at the highest level in mma are OVER!!! Whether we like it or not, the days of the bully becoming champion are done. The supreme, complete martial artist, intelligent, great athlete, unlimited cardio, top-notch genetics…these are the attributes of future champions from here on in. Bones is the most complete fighter i have ever seen in mma and i think he would lay a whoop-ass on A Silva. I respect Silva, however Bones is both too strong and too long for him. I think their skill sets are very similar…Silva has the Jitsu while Bones has the wrestling and the stand up is quite equal…I think Bones’ freakish genetics give him an edge that Silva couldn’t handle. For those of you who put $$$ on Rampage to win this fight, that is just plain silly!
thx for posting this bruno
Not many fighters that would put no excuses, even little ones, as to why they might have lost.
chiroguy my good man silva has much better stand up than bones rashad will make this boy lot of problems u will see
@chiroguy: I agree with you and I mentioned that in the Page V. Jones thread. I wouldn’t say Bones would beat A. Silva easily as Silva has one thing that I believe will be the undoing of Bones one day: mental speed. He can put the right punches in the right places while Jones is doing one of his stunts. I think Machida also has that ability and that’s why he would make the best match against Bones in 205.
However, that said, I think Bones could beat both of them as his physical advantage is too great and the technique difference not enough to overcome it. It Cain Velasquez and JDS would be more realistic challenges to Jones. Two guys who he can’t manhandle and that are also fast and smart. That’s where the challenge is for Bones and, until he moves up, he will probably reign over the division.
And I don’t think that neither Silva v. Bones nor Silva v. GSP will ever happen. Silva is near his retirement and he will not retire in a different division. At the moment, he is the best of all times, and if people want to fight him, they have to go to him and not the opposite.
WOW!!!!!!
Was that KOS up there? He sounded RESPECTFUL????? a little part of my soul died at the end of that fight
WARR HUGHES 4 eva baby!!!!
But hats off to KOS he did a great job !!
atleast he admits he was running away. Can’t blame him, smart move.
Ok… let me begin by saying that if your looking to pitfighter z for advice your barking up the wrong tree sorry mr z but you’ve said some pretty stupid s*** on here over the last few years. Is Jones for real? Are you serious if you cant work that out by now then you’ve got issues, Jones is the rightful UFC champion in other words best on the planet and it was obvious even before he beat shogun and proved it. As for thugs ruling at the top level this hasnt happened for many many years in any division your way behind.
This has probably been stated about ten thousand times but Rampage needs to train somewhere different… AKA? Thoughts anyone?
JJ KILLA!!!!
You guys are on here talking alot about size, speed, strenght, and genetics…These things only make up a small part of what is called a elite…You guys only speak of the tangables…What about the intangables? Jones has talent, he’s big , and strong but so are a lot of fighters… Is he the most complete IMO that remains to be seen… Lets see how he behaves when he’s finelly put to the test, and its only a matter of time before it happens..This is the fight game, and sooner or later he will be tested…There’s more to being called Elite than just being the bigger stronger guy…Just because he’s the champion doesn’t mean he has the heart of one…Trying to compare Jones to Silva at this point is silly…Silva has proven that he has EVERYTHING it takes to be a true champ…Jones hasn’t been but through the fire yet, and until that happens im not sold on him…
How about Dan Henderson vs Jon Jones.
daniel cormier if he moves across from strikeforce and down to 205
Dont blame the Rampage training camp,Rampage admited he didnt follow the game plan, that was to pressure J.J which he didnt do,he stood around waiting to throw one big haymaker and it didnt happen,Page is becoming a boring fighter to watch, way too one dimentional.
Hendo can beat Bones
ETK…you think Hendo can beat Bones…you must be hanging out with the Diaz brothers smokin the toque!!!
@ chiroguy
Maybe contact high from watching the Nate Diaz interview?
Hendo said it was be “funner” to fight Bones.
would be funner
Robbie Lawler is another guy, besides Hendo, whom I think can beat Jon Jones. As odd as it may seem. Something about the fighting styles.
