very very good striking battle. not the best, but what more can you expect from one guy who is just a power striker, while the other has never had an MMA fight? kudos to these guys for stepping up, but damn that triangle choke was deep. amir is very much improving.

Hell yeah, and with a 0-0 record he’s kicking ass. I love this guy. I hope he goes all the way. You don’t see a lot of guys throwing those straight kicks like that so much.

damn i loved this fight it was pretty awesome, and true props to amir its funny and exciting watching at the same time cus he tries and succeds in good fashion. I dunno tho i have to go with Tim and Amir in the finale.

…holy crap, he is! What the hell?

This kid is full of surprises, and I’m glad to see he has at least SOME ground game – from all the talk from the coaches, supposedly Amir was still too much in Muay Thai kickboxing mode and hadn’t learned much of a ground game, but there he goes and submits someone with 15 professional fights under his belt (and two on the show so far).

He’ll be interesting to watch, that’s for damn sure o.O

for his 1st fight Amir showed that he can grow to be a good fighter

tho he looked very lost in what to do in certain situations and I am sure he would of lost if it werent for his team yelling advice to him

Having a strong chin certainly saved him

Bloodlinez, that wasn’t his first fight – he still hasn’t officially had a professional MMA fight (though he has had pro Muay Thai fights – Google his name to see a few) and won’t til the show is over.

He HAS won three fights in a row now, though – his prelim qualifier over Steven Byrnes, his first round win over Gerald Harris and now his quarterfinal win over Matt Brown.

amir is definately not REALLY good. ive never seen anybody ever just get pushed off of the full mount like that. straight weak sauce. and matt jsut really sucks. ive never seen sumone have as tight of underhooks as he had in the beging and not take the guy down or give it up as easy. he could have gotten underhooks a couple more times too. not to mention, having the worst triangle defense ever.

actually, it’s around 40 percent(2 guys laying on each other.) are that moron. go look at wikipedia and you’ll see the details. wow. please, they should do an IQ test before anyone is allowed to comment on this forum…or any for that matter. the only two guys that i can recall just layed on someone is that shithead jesse taylor and that black guy…who got tko’d.
