I really wanted Ross to win but i thought that Richie was going to win the full show. He looked great when he fought to win his place in the house . He also looked good at the start of the round.Only just missing with some hudge head kicks.

That was a great fight…Pearson is a tough one. He ate some good punches from Richie but still kept going. I was seriously impressed by the takedowns by Pearson as well…so much for team USA having an advantage in the wrestling dep.

Whitson is really raw, but I think he’ll develop into a world-class fighter if he works hard and keeps learning. He’s just a kid, and you have to assume that Alaska — while probably good for brawling — isn’t the best place to learn world-class MMA skills. But he has the right attitude, in and out of the ring; when his opponents take him down you can see that first thought isn’t to start protecting himself or tie up his opponent by getting into full guard, but to *get up* — and then he does.

He needs to learn defense when he’s standing, though, and take Hendo’s advice about moving his head and ducking after a couple of thrown punches. Right now he just leaves his head hanging up there and punches away. It doesn’t matter how much guts you have, in top level competition it’s impossible to win every wild exchange.

Good young natural fighter though. I hope the UFC gives him a serious shot once he’s had a bit of seasoning.

On an unrelated note, has anyone else noticed that as the Ultimate Fighter becomes more successful, some of the contestants seem to be in it to be famous, and are turning into prima donnas? You’d think their agents and lawyers are standing just off-camera.

The whole US-UK match-up doesn’t really make much sense at this point in the UFC, as MANY more American fighters have already been exposed to opportunities to fight in the UFC. The result is, first, that the pool of up-and-coming American fighters had become smaller and smaller with each season (I would argue that the rapid succession of TUF seasons picks from the pool faster than new skilled fighters enter the pool). For Brits, on the other hand, only the best fighters had been given opportunities prior to TUF 9. The second result is that the UK fighters find themselves with more to prove in this season than the US fighters.

Anyone notice how Ross Pearson looks like Mr. Magoo? I couldn’t identify it first, only that he has one ugly mug. But then, as I was watching a recent episode of _Family_Guy_ in which Mr. Magoo has a cameo, so to speak, I immediately noticed the resemblance.

I see an all English Final here, Ross Pearson & Andre Winner all the way. Richie is a great fighter and has come a long way in a short time. We will see more of him im sure. Shame about that knee but it didnt make a difference Ross is simply a different class.

I definetly think the light weight winner will either be Ross or Andre but you can’t write off Dollar,I know he is a cry baby but he seems to perform well when he is under pressure or scared, I mean looked what happened to stapleton. I hope Dent does ok against Lawson even though im rooting for the UK he is the one guy on USA that doesn’t get off on disrespecting other people and he smashed that little twat Browning Jr. DaMarques is the man to beat at welter weight, I would like to see how he would do against Wilks as he just seems to get in there and throw like a madman. GO UK!!!!!!
