TUF 8 Tryouts Will Start April 10th

The UFC and Spike TV will begin their open tryouts for season 8 of “The Ultimate Fighter” on April 10 in Boston.

TUF 8 open tryouts will take place at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, which is located at 390 Dalton St. in Boston.

Producers are looking for lightweights (146-155 lbs.) and light heavyweights (186-205 lbs.) who are 21 years of age or older. Tryouts start at 9 a.m. ET, but they encouraged you to arrive early.

If you can’t make it to Boston, the UFC is still taking video applications and fighters can apply for the show at SpikeTV.com.

“The Ultimate Fighter 8″ should start airing around August or September on Spike TV. There has been no official announcement to who will be the show’s coaches.

I would do it but i don’t turn 21 till Sept and right now fighting is more like a really serious hobbie and being the military sounds like more fun.

Call me crazy but i think they should get real trainers to be coaches for once rather than known fighters. Everyone knows behind every great fighter in history there is a great coach. The coach 90% of the time is either not a fighter at all, or a washed up one. It would be a nice change to see them take it up a notch. Get some real trainers. Juanito would be my first vote.

I am a Canadian Heavyweight without any losses to my record, I am waiting patiently, I always see these guys that cut to lightheavyweight, and I can’t go below 220lbs or I look skinny, I dont how they can cut it and still be looking thick for 6′2. There are good ground trainers here, but I need to move south of the border for more standup, need Cung Lees kicking abilities. I do think that Forrest will suck as a Coach, hes a predictable fighter.
