This is the video audition tape from 205lb. Ryan “Darth” Bader (7-0) for The Ultimate Fighter season 8. He looks like a solid but goofy choice and could make some noise in the light heavyweight competition.

If wrestling is the best base for MMA, I guess guys like the Gracies or BJ Penn or Miguel Torres must suck.

Wrestling IS a good base, but the real beauty of MMA is that anyone can come in with a background in any of the major disciplines and dominate if they get at least a decent understanding of the others.

Amir Sadollah came into TUF as Muay Thai kickboxer who no one thought had a ground game, but the majority of his victories on the show came from BJJ submission. He’s still one hell of a kickboxer, but now he’s considered a much bigger threat on the ground after submitting a former NCAA champion wrestler twice with the same damn armbar.

True, it was only Dolloway, who’s pretty much a tool, but still someone who came from a ground-game background and got beat by a guy with a stand-up base.

Damn guys! I ran across this site today. We made the video just basically mocking the whole situation of TUF etc. this is an audition video so we needed it to stand out. Also CB really isn’t that bad of a guy either, editing will get you some times. That really is not my personality so give it a chance to see how the show goes then decide. I love MMA and will always appreciate all of your opinions. Also “Master” was taken by Drew Fickett or else that was the logical choice. I fight towards the end of episode two this Wednesday so check it out! Later guys!
