Unlce Dana is a Wizard! Good luck to all the starving 145ers trying out and tough shcit for all the invisible lighter women. Log in to Reply Ozinator April 18, 2013 and yeah, Matt…I get your argument that the UFC can’t just create a bunch of divisions in one day but that’s not what honest Dana is arguing; he’s standing by his ridiculous opinion that there wasn’t and isn’t enough talent. The 105ers just like the 135ers have enough skilled women for a division and it’s been proven by another promotion. Log in to Reply Tear April 18, 2013 Anyone else annoyed by women saying they are as good as men? Lot’s of ugly Lesbians, just saying. Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick April 18, 2013 So there will only be women in TUF 18? Come on Julie…As good as men, don’t be silly. Log in to Reply MuffDiggler April 18, 2013 John Dodson has never been so at home as he is in womens MMA. Log in to Reply def April 18, 2013 what are you ****ing fools talking about? why would you say they are not as good as men? because they can’t beat men? if mighty mouse can’t beat cain, does that mean might mouse isn’t as GOOD? every person should fight those of equal physical attributes and whether they put on technical and exciting fights is what qualifies them as good. plenty of the UFC WMMA fights and invicta fights have been great matches to watch. what remains is to create a competitive atmosphere and history for their fighters as already exists for male fighters. Log in to Reply KungFuLowKick April 18, 2013 @def I watched almost all the fights in Invicta.I know women fighting is fun to watch. But saying they are as skilled as men is being silly. It’s just like saying women tennis players are as good as men tennis players.Or saying that the WNBA is as skilled at the NBA.They have their place and I will watch women fights but saying they are as skilled as men is A.Not knowing how a really skilled fighter fights and looks like or B. Being silly… Log in to Reply NotVinnieJones April 18, 2013 @KungFuLowKick comparing womens vs mens tennis, WNBA vs NBA, etc…isn’t a valid argument of who’s more skilled, either. There is only one true way to tell who is more skilled (and that is impossible to do) and that is to place each person inside a body that is physically equal to their opponents. We can do that with cars. As I understand, in the IROC racing series, each car is equal to the next car, so its the driver’s skill that determines the winner. But you can’t do that with people. So its really a pointless argument. Lesnar beat Mir, but who would you say between them overall was the more technically skilled fighter? The only real way to take all the other factors out of the equation so it just comes down to seeing who is more skilled is to create a complex version of Rock em Sock em Robots and have two fighters fight that way. Otherwise too many other factors come into play. Log in to Reply Tempted April 18, 2013 Lots of nasty looking lesbos that I have no interest in watching. Women’s MMA is still a joke. Log in to Reply Tempted April 18, 2013 @def You fail at analogies. Ronda Rousey vs Uriah Faber is the proper analogy. Log in to Reply sour taint April 18, 2013 what a bunch of salty ass haters. those of you shunning WMMA because they’re not pretty – let me ask you this: do you judge male MMArtists the same way? if they’re attractive or not? surely you must, because your retard logic applies. if you don’t appreciate these WMMA, you don’t appreciate MMA in it’s entirety. the introduction of WMMA finally making the big stage in the UFC brings more beauty to the entire sport. just look at how lit up & inspired these women are. some of them are seasoned, some are entering this here thing for the first time – none of that matters, the opportunity means that much to them & we all ought to appreciate this. an added bonus is that these woman will bring a new level of class to the TUF house – they all, regardless of experience in competing, have come as equals to eanr a spot in the house, which makes the value of this entire experience for them, & the entire of the show more precious. I mean c’mon, this is a hell of a lot more refreshing than “just let me bang, bro”. Log in to Reply memphismike April 18, 2013 @kungfuLowKick,ur a nerd.lmao big ****ing nerd……………………… Log in to Reply Tempted April 18, 2013 @sour tard Last time I checked this was a sport with a fanbase made up primarily of straight MEN. Straight men want to watch guys fighting each other. Some like watching nice looking females duke it out. Most do not want to watch Rosanne Barr and Rosie Odonell lock onto each other in bathing suits. By your logic we should also have men prancing in thongs instead of ring girls. Log in to Reply Roe Jogan April 18, 2013 That sucked… I totally like and honor the women fighters, but that video did not have any of the men competing and one of my son’s coaches is in the final 18. I was hoping to see him roll. Log in to Reply Stranger April 18, 2013 that last part made me lol. If Dodson was ever in jail he would end up wearing the kool aid. Log in to Reply adiyo April 18, 2013 Those women aren’t the pretties in the world – but that’s not important in MMA. What worries Me is that some of them don’t even look like woman, I don’t know if they are juicing, but their faces haw massive jaws like after a testosterone treatment. Log in to Reply Rico Suave April 18, 2013 OUCH! and to think, there was concerns that having men and women in the same TUF house was going to be a problem, there would be fooling around in the house, they’re half right, there might be fooling around, but none of the men will be touching any of these girls, there might be some lesbian love going down though!…and Julie must be smoking something? women as good as men?! come on now! Log in to Reply Noel April 18, 2013 @Tempted: “…By your logic we should have men prancing…” You have just made on of the most stupid arguments I have ever read. Log in to Reply Dnomyar April 18, 2013 “Tear “, “Tempted ” and others like them, are Neanderthals. These men are threatened by strong women and don’t even realize what wimps it makes them. In my experience, men like “Def ” and “Sour Taint” are actually getting sum, as opposed to the *****s who are hanging with their “bros” trashing women. Women’s MMA is here to stay. It will only get bigger and better. Get used to it. Log in to Reply Tj16903 April 18, 2013 Awesome. Go ladies. Log in to Reply Tempted April 18, 2013 Threatened by women’s MMA? I’ve taught women kick boxing and different striking arts. I, as well as many, many others, think its like WNBA and every other failed women’s professional sport. It isn’t what people want. Play taped shows of Invicta at the same time as a taped UFC event on different channels and watch the ratings. You’ll be shown how people prefer men fighting than a bunch of lesbos. Log in to Reply Joe April 18, 2013 I have no idea how anybody can possibly doubt the entertainment value of women’s MMA in the UFC after the Meisha Tate/Cat Zingano fight. You’ve also got an undefeated champion who tends to end fights (via submission no less) in the first round in Rousey, not to mention lots of up and coming women wanting to fight her someday. What more could you ask for? This is the best the division has ever been since Gina Carano’s early retirement, and it will only get better! Log in to Reply bartonfisk April 18, 2013 I really hope Tara and Roxanne make the cut, theyve both been around the sport forever and deserve it by far. Log in to Reply Tear April 18, 2013 @ def. Did you watch Tate vs Zingano. The number 2 and 3 best women in the world. It was a fun fight, but technically, they sucked. Women’s pro mma resembles men’s amateur mma, Fact. Log in to Reply Tear April 18, 2013 @ Dnomyar “In my experience, men like “Def ” and “Sour Taint” are actually getting sum, as opposed to the *****s who are hanging with their “bros” trashing women.” Maybe you missed out on the fact that Def and Sour Taint are women, ha ha, you are such a joke. Log in to Reply Tear April 18, 2013 Women can be ugly, that’s not a problem. I just stated a that there are a lot of ugly lesbos on the show to shut out the talk of male/female sexual tension that was so talked about. That this season is full of she monsters is ok. But do not be but hurt because I openly state that women’s mma is not where it’s at… or continue living in denial and ignorance. Log in to Reply NotVinnieJones April 18, 2013 Let the naysayers talk…they will soon find that their opinions have as much value as those who scrutinized MMA when it first arrived on the scene. It doesn’t matter to me whether someone taught a tae-bo exercise class to a group of fatties or not, their opinions hold no more weight than the next guy’s. And the fact that Rousey was able to sell a PPV, and Zingano and Tate could get Fight of the Night, and they are moving forward with the new TUF 18 format proves to the naysayers that their opinions really have no value. Do us fans of WMMA give a crap that some of you aren’t WMMA fans? I can’t speak for others, but I couldn’t care less what you like or don’t like. I don’t think Dana White cares, either. He’s already planning on adding other female weight divisions during the next several years. Log in to Reply DodieBoy April 19, 2013 I personally agree with those who say professional female fighters aren’t as technically sound as male fighters. This is only for the sheer fact that our society is gendered in a way that glorifies male athleticism and gives little to no appreciation to females in the same fields. That being said, I train at a gym with two very skilled female fighters, and every time some jackass comes off the street and is reluctant to spar them because they don’t want to hit a girl, they quickly eat their words. Give it another decade and women of the same weight and same amount of training will be able to fight toe to toe with men. Here comes the “but men are stronger” arguments. All I have to say is you’re an ignorant f*** It takes women no longer than men to build strength or endurance. Log in to Reply 808beans April 19, 2013 Quite frankly, if you are not attractive and have some appeal, as a women competiting in Mixed martial arts, you are not going to be very marketable. Rousey, carano, waterson, tate, nakamoto, budd… they are pretty… Now Cyborg, sara kaufmann… not so pretty, very little appeal to the fans. That’s just how it goes even if you care to admit it or not. Julie Kedieze is in between but she’s a exception to the rule cause she fights her tail off…. Log in to Reply sour taint April 19, 2013 @Tempted: incorrect, the premise to my logic is appreciating WMMA, with your abolsute respect for MMA in its entirety serving as your anchor. you simply dwell within the realm of denial as far as homosexuality goes.
