Dayum!!!! Crazy KO slam and even crazier record. Anybody who fights that much deserves respect – is this a current fight record? In the vid, the announcer mentions he had a 42-12 record … just asking
Bruno: This fight is about 10 years ago. Current MMA record is 184-45-9.
wonder what happened to that guy after the fight and the severity of the injury.
probably a broken spine
I think that’s the worst, most brutal knockout I’ve seen! Anyone know what happened to him? Is he OK? Did he suffer any brain damage?
the wind is knocked out of him he is fighting for air if he was ko,d he would stiffn up
lol@ the dude coming out and doing the splits and kicking and shit, you always know people who do that are going to lose
thats why there are weight classes now
his clavicle and shoulder are gone. wow.
the rock bottom ha ha
he looks like he came out of hitler’s gas chamber. all white and skinny.
That was some WWF sheet!! Sweet!
yea, who didnt see that coming
I think that was probably spinal injury and maybe a broken shoulder…I think the guy wasn’t KO but just in serious pain!
exactly adam.
That wasn’t that bad, the skinny guy was just acting like a beeeeatch. TKD=LOL
I remember seeing this a long time ago. I’m pretty sure he was alright. Looked a lot worse than it was.
That guy’s a geek. His spin kick and splits were not impressive but he fulfilled his role well as a rag doll.
bwahaha!!
That guy had no idea what do once he hit the ground. Way show uselessness of TKD in modern MMA. Look how in shape Fulton was! He wasn’t all doughy back then.
Since when is 200 lbs Middleweight?
Yeah that guy is dead. Stupid asshole thinks TKD could do the job. You lose your ability to walk with that mindset my friend.
Some of us were around for these arguments, some of us weren’t, but yeah, there really WAS a time when people would argue over whether or not Art A could beat Art B.
So it’s not too surprising that this match happened but it sure demonstrates what kind of wakeup call MMA was for taekwondo, karate, aikido, kung fu, …I mean, almost everyone.
To this day I still marvel at anyone who takes one of these arts with the intention of learning serious self defense. If you want to develop your mind, so be it, but this pot of coffee has been burning for over a dozen years.
You see in the replay that Fulton knew instantly after that slam that the other dude was done, no need to follow up with more punishment. Fulton’s a classy guy. Great highlight from the old days.
While I agree with the arguement jason about most martial arts being “found out” as such once MMA came around.I can’t really agree with you lumping karate in with the others as a heap of fighters grounded in karate are still doing very well on the international stage (especially the traditional karates like kyokushin) but the big difference is you can’t just have one style and keep winning (even royce gracie has proved this) so most guys that are good strikers weither they be from kickboxing or karate still need to have some wrestling or jujitsu so that if it does go to ground they can still fight and win.
Fighters like GSP,Anderson Silva and fedor have proved you need to have a good background in striking with a reasonable knowledge of jujitsu/sambo to be formidable these days…One trick ponies no matter how good that one trick is just ain’t enough these days.
Seeing TKD fighters get KO’d like that always brings a smile to my face.
Its like the rock bottom from hell lol.Awesome.
that was quite a slam. hope he is ok.
those jackin off on it should chillax, pray you’re never going to be on the receiving end one day ; )
