Being a fighter in the NHL for that amount of time would net u more money than the fighters on this list and their has been 2 lockouts!

Brock Lesner was overpaid! Matt Hughes dominated a weight class for a long period of time and made less than Brock? Yes, I know Hughes was slightly before Brocks time, but not that much. Lesner definitely shouldn’t be right under Anderson Silva, the greatest of all time. It is kind of funny that James Toney fought one time in the UFC and made more than Ken Shamrock in his whole UFC career.

Genki Sudo & Robbie Lawler each only $16000 is extremely unfair

WTF? Michael Bisping gets paid more than Anderson Silva, GSP, BJ Penn and Hendo???

What a f****** shame. Maybe Hendo needs to knock his head off again

Tempted Says, in 11-30-2012 at 15:11:28 from

How in the hell has Bitchping made more than Randy and Wandy?

Tempted Says, in 11-30-2012 at 15:12:26 from

Also, how has Nate doubled Nick?

Dream Machine… Says, in 11-30-2012 at 15:29:18 from

Gotta give it to Tito. He’s made his money.

MMAMessiah Says, in 11-30-2012 at 15:32:01 from

You guys are looking at this wrong. Was Lesnar overrated, mayber. Did he get people to buy PPV, yes. So they paid him more. The $ totals aren’t just a relfection of how good guys are but also how often they fight, what there current contract is, etc.

vsmoove Says, in 11-30-2012 at 15:32:48 from

You clowns realize that it doesn’t include the PPV bonuses that the main eventers share, right? The top guys made a whole lot more than what is on this list.

shitface Says, in 11-30-2012 at 15:34:01 from

James Toney 500 000
Roy Nelson 366 000
Shane Carwin 281 000
Jeff Monson 50 000

paddedummy Says, in 11-30-2012 at 15:50:53 from

LMAO, the guys at the bottom made 8 grand in 8 years, that’s $1000 a year salary for training your asss off, getting injured, ktfo, surgery, and blood tests so you can’t even smoke trees. That’s much less than minimum wage for flipping burgers at Mcdonald’s and in violoation of labor laws but “DW and the UFC are good people”

sosollykyrl Says, in 11-30-2012 at 16:29:54 from

The sport is still in its infancy and pay is increasing at a more rapid rate than in the past. Some of the earlier champs here didn’t make near as much because the fan base was much smaller. PPV’s purchases are on a steady increase, sponsors, revenue from advertising the list goes on. And until all other bonuses are made public you can’t really decide how poorly they are paid. It’s not like they play 82 games in a season like hockey, 162 in baseball ect… they fight at most 3 times a year on average.

TheKungFuLowKick Says, in 11-30-2012 at 16:34:45 from

You guys are forgetting the PPV bonuses. In a french interview,GSP said that 1 PPV bonus got him enough money to buy a house for him and a house for his parents. But yeah everybody who’s not a big name doesn’t get these bonuses. Some guys have really low numbers.Especially the lighter guys.30k in a whole career that’s really underpaid.

cgbloke Says, in 11-30-2012 at 16:35:09 from

You all still have to remember this doesn’t include PPV and extra incentive stuff. I am sure GSP has made more that 3 million since 2004.

dpc Says, in 11-30-2012 at 16:53:03 from

This doesn’t include PPV buys, bonuses, or any of other UFC bonuses they don’t even announce, or sponsors. It was said the other day that GSP makes around $15 millions A YEAR, and he didn’t deny it when it was mentioned to him.

Cletus Says, in 11-30-2012 at 17:39:44 from

Ufc def need to pay their elite more, seems like it’s a lot of politics over there. Although he was a puss Kimbo was a huge HUGE draw for the ufc and they paid him a measly 50k for those fights.. that’s fkd up.

ultimate fighter Says, in 11-30-2012 at 17:46:47 from

fighters are paid based on how much money can be mde from them Bisping is the key to the British market.

Mulch Says, in 11-30-2012 at 20:25:49 from

“fighters are paid based on how much money can be mde from them Bisping is the key to the British market.”

Spot on. It has much more to do with their ability to bring fans to the UFC than it does with their fighting ability.

genom Says, in 11-30-2012 at 22:48:33 from

Umm isn’t the money they disclose and the money that ACTUALLY get a lot different?

I’m pretty sure I saw Dana White talking about that in an interview once.

Number 321. Jens Pulver Made $ 60,000. LMFAO!!! He would have made that much money working for min wage at a roach infested car wash in 3.5 yrs.

Uhhhh yeah Nate Diaz makes MORE money then Nick, he can actually WIN most of his fights and can lay off the weed long enough to not get suspended from fighting.

Did anyone catch how much Carlos Condit earned?

youeffsee Says, in 12-1-2012 at 05:08:57 from

jockstrap Says, in 12-1-2012 at 06:46:42 from

alot of stupid comments here, some of you don’t understand how to interpret these numbers.

the real interesting thing to me is that we don’t hear many fighters complaining about pay anymore and THE FIGHTERS REFUSE TO TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH THEY MAKE. They don’t want us to know. If all of them were getting robbed they would take it public. That being said, it is tough for the no name guys, but same in any profession.

jockstrap Says, in 12-1-2012 at 06:55:55 from

Yelajackit Says, in 12-1-2012 at 20:30:14 from

They make MUCH more with sponsors. These figures are just the tip of their salaries.

Yelajackit Says, in 12-1-2012 at 20:35:54 from

And Anderson Silva makes WAY more than any other fighter. He gets paid $500K just for having ther Burger King logo on his shorts PER fight, plus $1.5 mil for 6 commercials filmed. Reports say that he makes a rounded out figure of 6-7Mil per fight after sponsors.

Dave Says, in 12-2-2012 at 14:05:24 from

anything less than 60 grand is disgrace!!! these guys train their ass off and they get beat up injured and could possibly be injured for life! 8 f****** grand?? wow shameful!

and Michael bitchbing making more the GSP??? WTF?

FailSonnen Says, in 12-2-2012 at 22:28:08 from

The only fighter there I know personally is 266 Louis Gaudinot $ 90,200 (the short kid in TUF with the green hair). And he beat out Kimbo Slice and Jens Pulver lol
