Tommy Speers wasn’t even a top rated competitor, his striking is 3 rate, those takedown attempts were 2nd rate, and it shows why Mac Danzig had such an easy time winning the show, not to take anything away from AJ, he disposed him like a true fighter who deserves to b in the UFC, Tommy really has a long way to go, and should b fighting in smaller organizations until he reaches there, never the less i still think its too early to tell where Anthony Johnson stands at this point in the division, but his stocks definatly went up in my book, and would love to c him fight kosheck, Karo or another top competitor

haha yea paul maybe you should worry about getting some black heavyweight boxing title holders. i agree that usually the black athelete is more physically gifted but mma is about much more than that. on this level all of the fighters are phyisically gifted just like any pro sport and like any pro sport the guy that fights smarter and more composed generally wins black or white.

Johnson is definately a more seasond striker then Houston..Houston has pure muscle behind his striking, making good for KO’s but not precision. Johnson’s striking was all about aiming and hitting the target. Therefore, resulting in 2 nice wins. I know the picture is looking similar to Houston’s steak but its not fair to say that Johnson’s career is going to be the same as Alexanders. Johnson definately has a shot at being a top contender, but not a Champion, yet!

That being said Johnson reminds me of Anderson Silva when he was young fighting in Meca and Shooto. I don’t know who he is training with but if this kid could get a c
serious trainer and MMA school behind him teach him a above average BJJ ground game skt is the limit for him. One thing is for sure he is a top MMA prospect and I myself would not bet against him being in the top 10 one day or even holding that Belt !!! But he has a ways to go and will have to work hard !!!!
