I think some of your cows need milking! Log in to Reply war April 6, 2008 Actually, I take that back. I am a child… which is why I think “Italian” is a race and cannot write complete sentences. Trust me though, once I get into the 3rd grade I’ll be smart. yours truly, war Log in to Reply assassins_creed28 April 6, 2008 Well all this talk about race and ethnicity. Truthfully speaking we might have a “black” person ( half african, half irish) running this country. So take all that in consideration. Log in to Reply Assassins_Creed28 April 7, 2008 Now to comment on just anthony johnson. It should have been knockout of the night by far!! **** that weak ass James Irvin shit!!! 8 seconds of Houston being rocked!! 8 seconds of tom speer being slept!! comparison. I’ve been reading comments on sherdog, here, mmaplayground, etc… Real talk main reason we are commentating is because this is one of the greatest knockouts in mma history. U look at the technique and the pure barbaric nature of the ko and that was a work of ****in’ art. It was not only a prelim, but it opened the night. Im not one of these people jockin’ him (no homo) or hatin’ on cat just because he got subbed by rich clementi, but real talk this dude at the very least creates an excitement and real striker threat in an every-other-skill-set dominated division. You have everything in this division except a one punch knockout striker. GSP is the total package, but he is not going to dominate like an Anderson Silva or possible Rampage. With that said AJ and BJ have the only legit shot at taking GSP’s crown!! He also has to get past Matt Serra 1st. I’m pumped. I really don’t like any other welter beside when BJ is at 170. So Rumble young man Rumble!!! Log in to Reply Come on give the kid a break April 7, 2008 Come on guy, this kid was never very good, he looks like a well i wouldnt say diamond in the rough cuz he is not that good but he has natural power, he needs to learn how to fight. That means he needs to learn how to punch, kick, how to gnp, everything.. There will be a good 5 years until he is in the ufc required level.. He is on the ufc now because a large part of america identifies with him and there is nothing wrong with that. except that this is real fighting and the kid got hurt bad Log in to Reply Smashedyoface April 7, 2008 Dude – “GSP will eventually go up in weight and destroy Anderson Silva you wait.” Silva would destroy GSP… no need to even explain that. And this whole race vs. race shit is stupid. The better fighter wins… it has nothing to do with race. You guys that are going back and forth are the same people that are holing this country back. Log in to Reply Kulena April 7, 2008 Nice job!!! He got his ass whoop!!! That’s my cuz, biggups to cuz-ins in Dublin and Vidalia GA. Holla, Keep it up cuz, much love from Flint Michigan!! We rootin for ya!! Log in to Reply dk3223 April 8, 2008 Alright people enough with all the racial comments for Christ’s sake, thats neanderthal talk. Lets get back to what this forum is really about mma, were this night a superior fighter dominated a less superior fighter, end of story it has nothing to do with race, and all to do with training, skill, and determination.period. Log in to Reply Shocbomb April 10, 2008 Johnson looked great but lets not hand him the belt Yet, This could Houston Alexander all over again, Shit every one thought Houston was the next BIG Thing in MMA. How did that turn out ??? That being said Johnson reminds me of Anderson Silva when he was young fighting in Meca and Shooto. I don’t know who he is training with but if this kid could get a c serious trainer and MMA school behind him teach him a above average BJJ ground game skt is the limit for him. One thing is for sure he is a top MMA prospect and I myself would not bet against him being in the top 10 one day or even holding that Belt !!! But he has a ways to go and will have to work hard !!!! Let’s wait and see ???????????????????? Log in to Reply ntvman April 11, 2008 Johnson is definately a more seasond striker then Houston..Houston has pure muscle behind his striking, making good for KO’s but not precision. Johnson’s striking was all about aiming and hitting the target. Therefore, resulting in 2 nice wins. I know the picture is looking similar to Houston’s steak but its not fair to say that Johnson’s career is going to be the same as Alexanders. Johnson definately has a shot at being a top contender, but not a Champion, yet! Log in to Reply humus101 April 12, 2008 white boy got his ass kicked Log in to Reply jake April 15, 2008 haha yea paul maybe you should worry about getting some black heavyweight boxing title holders. i agree that usually the black athelete is more physically gifted but mma is about much more than that. on this level all of the fighters are phyisically gifted just like any pro sport and like any pro sport the guy that fights smarter and more composed generally wins black or white. Log in to Reply English-Dan April 18, 2008 ”Derick April 3 2008” If AJ is a friend of yours tell him in person I think he’s a ****ing star in the making…..anyone who cant see the talent this Kid has is blind…..Tommy just looks like a wrestler…loose one more fight like that Tommy an thats it for you in the UFC….all this race talk is boring me…..Anderson Silva is the fucing man! Log in to Reply rumble May 1, 2008 people this is anthony johnson. im not the one to say much and when i do i talk it on camera but damn whats up with all the white people black people shit? come on we all love the sport lets not make the whole thing look like we are a bunch of dumb ass please. much love and support to every one. i even appreciate my haterz you have the right to say as much as you want. Log in to Reply Josh May 7, 2008 Tommy Speers wasn’t even a top rated competitor, his striking is 3 rate, those takedown attempts were 2nd rate, and it shows why Mac Danzig had such an easy time winning the show, not to take anything away from AJ, he disposed him like a true fighter who deserves to b in the UFC, Tommy really has a long way to go, and should b fighting in smaller organizations until he reaches there, never the less i still think its too early to tell where Anthony Johnson stands at this point in the division, but his stocks definatly went up in my book, and would love to c him fight kosheck, Karo or another top competitor Log in to Reply « Older Comments Leave a Reply Cancel reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
