This was the 9th pro MMA fight for the Huntington Beach Bad Boy. Evan Tanner had already amassed a 23-2 record and had a big early win over now heavyweight Heath Herring.

i agree that tito lost his hunger and for a long time now thinks his bigger than he really was. But this upcoming fight i think were going to see the tito ortiz, he has basically said that he is leaving the ufc after this fight and would want to prove to all the other mma companies that he is worth the doller. Tito’s antics are my favorite, I think he earns his name title. UFC needs more of that screw respect “It wouldn’t be the hunnington beach bad boy it would be the daytona beach pussy. What would football be without touch down dances or Terrel Owens, Chad Johnson, and much more. Or the NBA without the Shaq boom, or the Kevin garnett yell. Or how about john McEnroe in Tennis. Actually Tito was pretty short for cash. When he wrecked his only car, he cried about it to Dana White saying “My life is over” so Dana helped him out and what not. Tito is a cry baby bitch. Ken, I have to disagree with “inadvertently.” Guys with wrestling backgrounds especially know all the “tricks” to hit opponents technically illegal ways without the ref noticing. Tito pointed his head right at Tanner’s chin. That isn’t natural. It takes planning and willpower to slam your head towards another guy’s. It is the perfect way to sneak a head butt past the ref. Couture, another wrestler, did the same thing against Gonzaga. And don’t think Captain America is too much of a “good guy” to do sneaky shit like that . . . look what a dick he’s been to the UFC, the organization that made him famous.

Definately a headbutt. And the celebration was definately over done. I disagree about the hunger though. He still trains hard and comes into every fight wanting to win. It’s a combination of failure to evolve and lack of heart. You ever see the guy throw a haymaker? It’s so stilted and mechanical.

Whoever said that the referee stopped this fight early is part retarded. Tanner was clearly knocked out. It sucks that Tito has lost so much steam over the years. His last fight in the UFC should be against Rampage. Tito’s style clashes nicely with Quintons.

I think tito is a tough fighter, and I want to see him fight more… even if he takes some beatings. He needs to beat Machida if we want to see more of him,. if not hes going to do more Television, and other ways to make cash. His heart isn’t 100% in fighting im afraid, and I dont want to start losing badasses like Liddell because of other money making opportunities. You got famous because of fighting, don’t sell out.
