i agree this TRT bs is getting out of hand and too many are doing it; if u dont make test’, its time to retire or adopt a healthier lifestyle perhaps.

I agree. I thought UFC’s moto was “as real as it gets.” Tito is right. I don’t believe in TRT even it’s legal. It’s a legal way of cheating. Let’s not turn UFC into the Olympics. I want to see fighters compete naturally using their body and fighting skills. There is a sense of “pureness” in fighting, especially when it’s 1 vs 1. Let’s not ruin that.

Everyone should use TRT or ROIDS then.. even playing field for all.. maybe for a future organization called “Final Fight”. (life after the UFC)

I agree, people are using this TRT just to gain advantage over the competition. I think there should be something in place and they should evaluate all other options before prescribing synthetic testosterone to fighters. I know there are natural ways to increase your levels without the use of TRT. Check your diet, increase fat intake… healthy fats, raise your hormone levels..etc. Oh well, it’s only going to get worse and soon a lot more fighters will be using it….

A normal male’s T:E ratio can go to, but rarely exceeds 4:1. Even if that threshold is reached; further testing is needed, namely a CIR test.

I had testicular cancer and TRT has changed my life for the better. Athletes need a CLEAR medical condition before going on TRT. Becoming older is not a medical condition.

You only have 3 fights to ensure a new short-term future in the UFC…

If fighters were contracted as regular employees the abuse of substances would probably be somewhat lower…

Yeah if you are doing TRT because you “need it” like all those cheaters say, then you need it to be 1:1 not 6:1.

NoSheeps Says, in 7-17-2012 at 11:31:36 from 206.128.78.118

Don’t be sheep! It’s high time we start embracing science and technology. We all know that strength and endurance even the playing field of unmatched skill. We only believe that it is an unfair advantage because of the media seeking storylines. The truth is, we need to not to focus on detection but focus on allowing science to evolve with what is important to pro athletes, and that’s peak physical condition in which to perform at the absolute highest level. THAT is what I want to see!

mygif_alt
TRTSteve Says, in 7-17-2012 at 12:08:34 from 68.58.198.64

I had a very physical job working construction and was getting outworked by younger guys so I started taking TRT to see if it would help.
So after a month I was totally outworking everyone and was stronger than ever and eventually got promoted to the off site office TRT leveled the playing field in regular life not just sports. TRT turned me into a bigger beast than I was a 20 and I am all for it.

TRTSteve Says, in 7-17-2012 at 12:10:25 from 68.58.198.64

I think its funny how people get mad at TRT but not at coconut milk or drinking plenty of water. Its just another way to make the body better.

Should we make a vegan diet illegal?

Having said that, Forrest looked horrible in that fight, so, maybe it wasn’t working for him all that well…

mygif
NoSheeps Says, in 7-17-2012 at 12:26:49 from 206.128.78.118

@TRTSteve

Amen brother! Just seek to be the best at whatever you do! I am not a fan of the media dictating the way sports should be played. They seek a contreversy not the reality.Sports played a hundred years ago for the sanctuary of record keeping is one thing, but finding out who is the best NOW under all circumstances, pushes the envelope, and I like it.Hell, I think that Forrest could hit as many HR’s as Babe Ruth, given the right conditions.Who are we to say that science can’t evolve? After all, it’s for the best.

TRT is for losers! These types of drugs were created to help people live normal lives due to medical illness not to create Warriors.

mygif
Dr. Says, in 7-17-2012 at 12:53:49 from 216.18.7.81

I’m more surprised when I hear about a fighter NOT on TRT. For the number of fighters in the UFC, Strikeforce and Bellator (not including regional shows because they don’t get the same level of exposure), the number of fighters using TRT seems high.

I get that some guys are just naturally low, but come on, why should you get to have that advantage (especially if low T can be linked to prior steroid use)? If the accepted level is 6:1, ALL fighters should be allowed to be at 6:1. If you are under 40, you shouldn’t need help. If you are over 40, unless you are a freak like Couture, you probably aren’t fighting.

SEAN_VANCE Says, in 7-17-2012 at 13:07:12 from 75.74.182.24

So it’s “leagal”? Terrible, there should be total ban. If you have short hands can you use baseball bat in a fight? Come on, it’s a “medical condition”. This is insane. Shame on UFC and Forrest.

how about let alone Japan but talk about your back yard! every single WWE freak is on strong roids that’s why they die all of a sudden at a relatively young age.
I can’t believe the commission actually allows that crap!
