Tito Ortiz Interview by Ariel Helwani hints of Affliction signing and about Babalu calling him out. Former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz has signed with Affliction and will debut with the promotion at Affliction 2 on October 11th against former UFC light heavyweight challenger Renato “Babalu” Sobral, according to Yahoo! Sports. Tito just can’t legally confirm the fight until after the 4th of August.
I thought he was gonna retire.
Lame, still making excuses for his lost. It seems that hurt his ego, and he´s right, is mma, if it turned into a karate fight is because Machida had absolute control over him.
Pathetic excuses from a mediocre fighter.
He should go back to fighting Shamrock, he seems to be the only fighter he can beat.

Tito vs. Babalu would be a good fight. TIto hasn’t been as explosive as he was in his early years, but I think he and Babalu would bang it out hard.
Tito vs. Shamrock would be another unnecessary embarrasment to the Lions Den.
Based on how much praise Tito got from Trump on the Apprentice, I think he’ll sign with Affliction.
I can’t wait to see him lay down on someone and elbow them for 15 minutes.

Tito actually is making sense about the whole $$$ thing. I know if i was a pro fighter i’d want to get paid. these ppl are risking broken bones and limbs. If an organization is making 30 mill on a fight an you get say 300,000 thats only one fucken perecent what kind of shit is that. But he does need to stop making excuses for his loses.

Not a big fan of Tito but he’s still one of the pioneers of the sport. He was a damn good fighter but unfortunately his prime has come and gone.
Glad that Tito has made some money from this tough sport. He provided some enjoyable fights. MMA has left him behind because he’s strictly ground and pound. Tito can now be a stepping stone for new fighters since he was unable to master the other essential fighting skills.

I don’t think mma fans should judge Tito as an individual whether he is a good or bad fighter. It doesn’t matter if he didn’t win in his last couple fights or making excuses for his lost. I think we should look at the big picture and support his ideals rather than looking down on his bad side. i mean we watch most of the fights in the UFC and seeing how each fighter get paid. He stand up for himself and i respect that. I am just a fan of mma and i want see fighters get what they need. Just my opinion.

Tito does however make a very valid point on the pay or lack of pay for the ufc fighters. Having trained fighters myself, these guys don’t get even a fraction of what they deserve. Dana White is for a fact a shdy individual. If you know your ufc history you would know what I’m talking about. Dana and the Fertittas are truly slimeballs for how they got their hands on the ufc.
Guys, let’s get one thing straight. Even though Tito has been annoying as of late he has beaten a lot of top fighters. What are the callouts that he only beat Ken Shamrock? Be fair. For those of you who have only been watching MMA for 5 years or so (no offense to those who actually know about the sport) Tito did beat 2 guys that were pretty big at the time Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva? Then we are quick to forget his win over the current champ Forrest Griffin. When he beat Ken the first time (before Ultimate Fighter existed) he was a top guy. So was Frank Shamrock. Evan Tanner was also a great fighter at the time and went on to win a belt after Tito annhilated him. I’m not saying Tito is going to light the world on fire, or that he is better than Machida because he is not, just get your facts straight before you bring it in here.

I beilieve Karate is a form of Martial Arts. What about Jiu-Jitsu fighters, Muy-Tai. These guys are stricty those Disciplines. Escpecially the Muy-Tai fighters. Quit hating on the guy and have a fighter beat him. There are many fighters that are one dimensional.
i agree with the money issue dana is taking 35 % percent out of the ppv and the fighters not even 1 % percent a fighter makes 600.000$ on a fight dana makes 3 million
