Tito Ortiz Calls Press Confrence To Anounce The Signing Of Cris Cyborg Santos To Invicta

Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Santos has signed a multi-fight agreement with women’s world championship Mixed Martial Arts promotion Invicta Fighting Championships.

Santos will make her Invicta FC debut against submission champ and Unified Women’s Professional MMA Rankings world No. 2 featherweight Ediane “India” Gomes of Coconut Creek, Florida by way of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The event will take place at Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City on Friday, April 5, 2013.

The winner of the matchup between Cyborg and Gomes will square off with world No. 1 ranked featherweight superstar Marloes Coenen at Invicta FC 6, on a date to be announced.

Gomes’ original Invicta FC 5 opponent, Julia “The Jewel” Budd of Port Moody BC, Canada, will now face rising star Fiona Muxlow of Townsville, Queensland Australia on the April 5 card.

Let’s not be quick to judge anyone ok. Let’s be honest, which female MMA fighter is better than Cyborg? She’s the best one i’ve seen and have been impressed with over the years. There are other good ones out there, but Cyborg beats them all… and will probably KO all of them if not most. Tito is smart guy in a good position and once she takes out Rousey everyone will see… She ended Gina Carano’s MMA career, period! Rousey does not want this fight… The bantamweight belt means nothing… If they fought at 140lbs, no title on the line, it would be the same as if they fought at 135 for the title. The “title” is just marketing plot to boost PPV sales… I don’t see why it’s so important like if this fight isn’t for the belt, it holds no weight in MMA….crazy!

I do not know if you ever wrestled or competed in any sports with weight classes, but there is a maximum amount of weight that a person can actually cut. I wrestled 135 in high school after cutting weight. The lowest I could get down to was 132. It was impossible for me to make 130. As the matter pertains to Cyborg, she is already cutting a ton of weight, and it sounds as though she cannot loose anymore. Lastly, it is not unrealistic to ask Rhonda to fight at 140. In fact, Rhonda should be stronger and more hydrated if the fight took place at 140. Just my position on the matter!

I see your point one1one, but Rhonda should not have to fight at 140. She is the so called champ at 135 not 140. I did wrestle in high school, but I never cut weight. I think they should weigh these fighters 2 hours before the fight. Also, I don’t think anyone understands what you are saying Twana.

Tito experienced a brain fart when he heard they are live and camera is on! He forgot why they were there.. He badly wants to start a union for the professional MMA fighters and be its first president. Hope to see Rhonda and Cyborg fight at 140 lbs catch weight.
