Tim Sylvia vs. Andrei Arlovski 4 Fight Video ONE FC Pride of a Nation.
I was pulling for Tim Sylvia but this is just garbage. That was 100% a win for Arlovski. So what, they wanted him to just stand there and wait for the ref to tell him its ok to attack? Thats just ridiculous, of course he is going to continue striking him right away. Dumbest ending to a fight i’ve seen in a very long time.
This is a good ref. He said “he can fight he didnt hit his face, 2 more minutes!” LMAO!
Commentator: What happened?
Arlovski: I don’t know..
LMAO!!!
Isn’t kicking a downed apponent to the head illegal? At least in the ufc.
Tim was kinda asking for it though, from that head butt.
If you’re going to have soccer kicks in your organization, they should be able to be used at all times, not every now and then – that’s ridiculous. Give Andrei his win.
Andrei chin held up tho I dont know why he kept dropping his hands and holding his chin up. He cracked Big Timmy–hard. The kicks cuz he just didnt like TS.
Thought TS had the rounds by a slight margin.
WTF??? You have to ask the ref if it is OK to soccer kick? Huh??? The ref has to signal that it is OK for an open attack. LAME!!! One FC can burn in Hell.
The rules in OneFC are different than the UFC but I was sooooooooooooooo excited for Arlovski. His weak ass chin took some punches and he did really good.
what are these stupid rules !? are you kidding me i knew watching this would be disgraceful?? tim sylvia looked like an out of shape fat piece of shi%,yea he thought he won the first few round … this is a pathetic disgrace of mma,so this league is fixed and run by the chinese mafia… when they saw fat s*** tim loosing they had to pull strings and make up some bullshit
Perhaps Andrei should have asked Timmy “how taste uh my big pee pee”. (look it up on youtube).
Couldn’t get through the first round, now I remember why the UFC dropped these guys.
Andrei
That “open attack” rule is completely ridiculous! Sylvia could have continued but he clearly wanted out of that fight. Oh well, at least I got to see Arlovski KTFO Sylvia! ![]()
@Fightfankevin
Hahaha!
Very Stupid rule. Change it immediately.
I hope Bob Sapp knocks out Sylvia. I’m sure they will be fighting soon
Wow that was dumb as f—. The ref has to first give permission to kick a downed opponent? I don’t think Andrei understood that and this is super. As in super gay, 2 sweaty dudes doggystyle gay.
It needs to be legal or illegal. Either way, its ok. I understand the health risk to a fighter, and it makes sense for it to be illegal. I watched a lot of soccer kicking in Pride, and it was an exciting part of the sport.
But to have it conditional based on a referees discretion or a gesture is plain stupid. A fight moves way too fast for a fighter to ask a referee if its ok to use a technique. Hesitation may mean the difference between victory or defeat, or knocking someone out and being knocked out yourself. It is stupid that sometimes it might maybe be ok, but sometimes you’ll get dqd or have a NC.
Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid.
Stupid.
I cant wait to see Sylvia vs. Bob Sapp!
It is interesting to see how far the UFC and MMA have come. It wasn’t that long ago that this matchup was for the UFC Heavyweight belt. hahahahaha
No respect for that dumb rule (among others they have) and what seemed like confused & unorganized officials on several occasions during this event.
Also, Tim = Fail
Arlovski never looks great anymore, but respect to him for showing up to fight, he always does. He’s just cant hang with the best of em anymore.
Tim is nothing but a HOE!!!!!!!!!
My biggest fear Sylvia/Arlovski 5. Pretty good fight, I was pulling for Tim, but he got TKO’d. If it had been the UFC rules AA would have probably pounded him out instead of the kicks anyway.
wow they really screwed everyone out of seeing the rest of the fight. arloski took some good shots and didnt get knocked out
call this what it is “Arlovski wins via TKO in round 2″
I see that there is alot of poo-pooing on here about the Open Attack rule, but I don’t think it’s as bad as all that. I think it’s supposed to be set up so that you can have a true, full MMA regime (a la PFC), and not have what has happened more then a few times in the UFC where a few good shots land, and even when the opponent is falling, they’re still aware and defending, and the ref immediately jumps in and stops it. AA deserved this win (and I have to say that they actually both looked pretty decent), but he knew the rules coming into the fight, and just got carried away. A No Contest was love for the infraction, it could have been a DQ.
TL;DR Interesting ruleset that failed due to justifiable aggression.
Dumbest ending to a fight i’ve seen in a very long time.
@Danby
In this leag it’s legal, but it has a stupid rule that the ref has to singal you that you can now kick him in the head…Stupidest rule ever created.
@Dave-O
Exactly. You’r enot going to turn your head to the side to see what the ref is signaling you when you’r ein the middle of a fight.Losing sight of you’r eoponent is the last thing you should do.The guy could upkick you and knock you out or just take you down. That rule needs to change.Make the kicks legal but without the stupid signal.
icant understand wtf happens O.o?

wtf
Andrei won by TKO. What retarded rules did this org have?
sylvia is a bitch he was scared and poor arlovsky really did deserved to get the TKO win and be 2-2 with tim..he looked ok, needs to keep his hands up, i mean really up, he is not anderson silva. he did well though.
Odd rule.
Also, the screaming announcer woman sucks, still.
I knew this rule was going to cause problems, I really dont get how this was any different than how NYBA won on the same card nonetheless. Either allow it or not. I feel like I wasted my time watching this fight here. I was pulling for Timmay but Arlovski won that fight imo.
Ok after a little exploring about the rule I think I finally get it and it’s purpose. Although it has been applied awfully so far. EX Roger Heurta fight. But apparently the open gaurd rule is applied if someone drops on their back i.e. butt scoots and trying to get it to the ground they are open game. If someone is already rocked like in this fight you are not allowed to kick the head, to avoid brain damage and further injury but if this is truly the case than Heurta fight last card and NYBA fight this card should’ve been a NC as well.
Sylvia would’ve won in the US for kicks to his head while down. I thought Unified Rules were closer. Guess i was wrong
They need to ditch that rule real quick.
arlovski should have just dropped haymakers instead of being lazy and using soccer kicks.
This is rubbish, just allow the soccer kicks at all times, like Pride had. Should have been a finish (probably) for Arlovski. Was a great fight otherwise. Allow the kicks and knees at ALL times, not just when the ref ‘deems it ok’.
Looks like we’ll have to see Sylvia / Arlovski V!!
ONE FC…f****** Joke.
open attack! what in lords name…wtf
MORONS! Tim Sylvia commits a flagrant head-but and is slapped on the wrist. Then the MORONIC rules allow head-kicks to downed opponents but only in certain MORONIC situations, and now Tim is saved by pure stupidity. MORONS! I’M SURROUNDED BY MORONS!
for 2 rounds they beat the hell out of each other and Tim did not want a 3rd round but that was an exciting 2 rounds. Literally punching until somebody falls and I don’t think Their has been a UFC heavyweight title bout more exciting in a minute than the first 2 rounds that is.
Big Temmehhhhh
Cage Rage from UK used to use these rules. they called it the open guard.
this is gotta be the dumbest rule in fighting history! how the F*** is the ref gonna be quick enough in the heat of the fight to say “open attack”
arlovski clearly won that fight by knock out.
Arlofski dropped big bad timmy like a sack of potatoes, timmy didn’t wait any more and said NO MAS!
SYLVIA RETIRE – old, slow, fat, bad knees
You’ve got to be kidding me. That is such a stupid rule, I don’t even know what to say.
They dropped Soa Palelei from this fight cos Soa wouldn’t sign a five fight contract with their promotion. You wonder why he wouldnt sign. I hope this organisation sorts out this head kick rule.
I see it as fair to kick the head of a opponent who puts them self to the ground (like Jon Jones tripod stance) but definitely not to kick the head of an opponent downed through strikes.
WOW! Tim just chicken out, and that’s how he pretended to get back to UFC. No more chances.
Well, that was fuked.
Hey ref can I kick him now?? Yea yea go ahead!
“Open Attack”… I was pretty sure when the cage doors shut and the ref says “go” that it was “open attack” until he says stop.
Strange ruling. Andre clearly won from the punches regardless.
why was Arlovski fighting the fat kid from Bully Beatdown again?
this fight was surprisingly entreating, that rule they got for the “kick a down or opponent or not” is just f****** stupid, you got to deal with your opponent and in top of that with the referee. if the referee think a fighter cant continue he should just stop the fight.
All you got to do is wait for the ref to yell Kick him in the face or finish him. Each ref has there own tagline it brings a new dynamic to the sport.
UFC should pick up AA just to piss Timmay off
Things to learn from this fight:
1 – Both fighters looked OK (not great, but not horrible).
2 – Tiiiiiiibbbbbeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr still is a one-trick pony holding AA against the fence.
3 – AA allowed Timmayh to do that and kept his guard down and chin up. Any better fighter would have KOed him.
4 – Timmie wanted a way out form the second minute of that second round. He kept complaining about every single thing he could and holding the fence when he had a chance.
5 – AA won the fight!
6 – Winning a fight against the Mainiac is almost the same as winning a fight against Bob Sapp.
7 – Besides being mildly entertaining, there is no real repercussions here.
A fight is a fight,There should be no rules
A rule is a rule.
thats about the stupidest rule ever.i guess it takes something like this to change dumb rules.
Meh, at least Arlovski throws bombs with his chin down more often. I guess Greg Jackson is teaching this dude how to not get KO’d.
